How do I change or cancel my AOL account for free plans?
We're sorry you want to cancel your free AOL account. But we'll show you how. Keep in mind: Once you cancel your free email account, you can't reactivate it and you won't be able to retrieve any of your old messages.

You can cancel your AOL account by following the steps below:

2. Enter your username and password in the respective fields.
3. Answer the account security question appropriately and click "Continue".
4. Click "Manage My Subscriptions". This will help you to access your account information.
5. Click "Cancel"
6. Now, select a proper reason for cancelling your subscription and click "CANCEL AOL".
7. Follow on-screen instructions to finish the cancellation procedure.

Having email from 2 different providers. You will need to sign into each account at their respective sites. gmail.com and aol.com

You can however setup your gmail account to retrieve your aol.com emails and slowly switch over to gmail for your email.

Go to the Sent folder in AIM Mail or AOL Mail.
Make sure the box in front of the message you want to unsend is checked.

Click Unsend again.


Note that you can (effectively) unsend an email only if:

The message was sent to AOL recipients only.
You cannot take back an email if it also has been delivered to internet recipients, not even from AOL recipients.
You sent the message from AOL itself, not from an email client using IMAP and SMTP to access an AOL email account.
The message has not yet been read by any recipient.

i cannot receive emails thru my aol account on my HTC Evo phone. It was woking fine and all of the sudden it stopped receiving new emails. please help!

When you signed up for AOL, did you include an alternate email address? If so, you can request that a password reset email be sent to your alternate email.

A temporary password will then be sent and you can use it to log into your AOL account.
