The lights are flashing and won't stop. I tried to unplug and replug same results ...what should I do?

As far as I know, the flashing lights are an indicator that the slow cooker is on, but awaiting instructions. You need to put in a time and then a temperature and then it will stop.

I personally find the power button very disconcerting and keep having to stop myself pressing it once I've programmed the slow cooker, and accidentally switching the thing off.

Kenmore Elite coffee maker Model # 100.9101670A Is this model on a recall? How can I get a manual for it? And what is the filter reset button?

I have a manual with mine and as far as "recall" goes on this model, I've not found anything recalling this particular model...

The most important thing in the manual, that I have found, is how to clean and change the filter. If all else fails unplug the pot for 10-15 seconds; replug it...this resets it...(if it ever acts up, do this; it helps)

The filter reset button: Your coffeepot should flash a small message stating: "change filter and clean" To do this you first, turn off the pot, remove filter~(the filter is in a long thin black plastic thing and the filter cover simply snaps and pulls apart to expose the charcoil filter; Remove the Filter, then fill the coffee pot with 7 cups of vinegar plus 7 cups cold water; Place a paper type regular coffee filter in the brew basket, or a thin paper towel works well too~(This traps and holds particles that get trapped inside the pot)

Before brewing; PLEASE NOTE, brew the first pot of vinegar/water mixture only HALF WAY then TURN OFF and let it sit for a good 15 minutes to soften any deposits...
Turn the pot BACK ON and brew the remaining solution. When brew stops turn OFF coffee pot, empty the solution, and discard the paper filter...

Refill reservoir with cold water and turn ON; you may want to dump this and refill with more cold water to ensure the vinegar taste/smell is gone...

Now, wash the brew basket and the glass pot...Open the black skiny Water Filter and replace with a new charcoil filter...Put Filter back in pot...fill brew basket with coffee and brew some mighty fine tasting coffee!!! Hope this helps....Good Luck

On a Kitchenaid coffee maker, ERR 4 indicates a stuck button. Please double check to make sure none of your buttons are sticking in place and "freezing" the coffee maker. If you can not find any obvious problems, I would recommend calling Kitchenaid Customer Service to see what options may be available to you.

A .pdf user manual and exploded parts views for this machine are available online at Kitchenaid.com. I have an err4 on my kitchenaid coffee pot. I have unplugged it several times and pushed each button each time but it keeps popping up with the error. It turns on every time I plug it back in before the...

Had the same problem after cleaning. ERR4 is the result of moisture in the electronics. FIRST UNPLUG COFFEE MAKER. Get a long philips screwdriver and remove the 4 screws at the bottom of the coffee maker. Pull the bottom off and carefully unclip the front panel. The circuit card is simply clipped in so it removes nicely by unclipping with your fingers. Now take a hair dryer and dry out the circuit card. Carefully plug the maker back in and verify that the LED nolonger reads ERR4. Reassemble and your back in business!

Re: KitchenAid Coffee Pot

I had a similar problem with Err 1, Err2, and Err 4. To resolve Err 1, if you have room, remove the coffee filter and coffee, pour more "warm" not hot water into reservoir. If you have 4 cups cold water add 5 cups warm. Then start coffee maker and let it run thru. Then drain coffee pot and start over to make coffee with tepid water. Err 1 indicates the coffee maker temp sensor is too cold from room temp or water temp.
Err 2 is a result of cleaning. First question "Did you remove the charcoal filter?" The charcoal filter can be removed form the filter stick by prying two tabs away gently and removing the filter for removal. The filters can be purchased @ www.Kitchenaid.com
One pot run thru with descaler can loosen scale and make sensor go "blind". Just run a full pot of clean plain water thru one maybe two times. A pot solution should be a solution of 1/4 pot WHITE vinegar, 3/4 pot clean cool water. Run this thru once, then two clean pots of fresh water as if you brewed a pot of coffee. NEVER USE CLR WITHOUT RUNNING NO LESS THAN THREE CLEAN WATER POTS THRU MAKER!!!! This is so you can continue to enjoy drinking coffee, nothing like a cup cleaning you out!
Err 4 is simple, you have a stuck button. Unplug maker and gently press each button making sure they aren't stuck in.
