Simple fix.

Look at the carburetor adjustment screws, look for the one that had the "H" . Should be on the right, the left is the low needle. Turn it to the right, snug, then back it out 1 turn. While the chainsaw is running, turn it a quarter at a time counter clockwise, and depress the trigger, if it bogs out when full throttle ,start it back up, turn it another quarter, just give it a little throttle at a time until you are able to depress the throttle more and more in..
You will get the feeling of it...

My Homelite ZR10926 16-Inch 33cc Ranger it is starting, idling, it dies when I accelerate it. I assume is the carburetor, maybe ? thank you.

It probably is not getting enough fuel. Check the filter in the tank. If it has been sitting with stale gass this filter plugs up.
Try running the engine with some choke. If this helps, try adjusting the carburetor high speed screw.

Bar oiler dos'nt work may be plug???

Hi larsgordy,

To unplug your oiler, first remove the chain brake cover, bar and chain. Then clean thoroughly aroundthe inside. Clean the saw oil hole and groove and all holes and passages on the bar. Run the saw and see if that did it.

If not, then make a slender hook that isn't sharp and put it in the oil filler hole and grab the oil line and pull it out. clean it and check it for holes or cracks. If damaged you'll have to replace it. Continue through the passages, cleaning and checking for damages.
Here is a diagram from erplacement parts that shows you the breakdown of your saw: http://www.ereplacementparts.com/homelite-ranger-ut10926-33cc-1634-chain-saw-parts-c-18807_21362_37313.html

If you still have trouble after reassembly, then you'll probably have to replace the oil pump. It is located behind the clutch usually. You can locate it on the diagrams if need be.

I hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

Troybilt chainsaw 20'' bar. will only run until primer fuel is burnt. Replaced gas filter, and soaked carb, and installed a carb.kit.Can`t find any vaccum leads, flywheel and key ok .Help thanks

The idle screw may be turned all the way in on the carb adjuster which should be a very small screw in a 3/16 hole through the plastic cover on the side between the starter rope and the trigger on most saws. Bottom it out and then turn it back 1 and 1/2 turns. Have the saw on a low bench, so you can control it when she starts up - if the revs are too high the chain will spin up which can be dangerous. Now screw the idle down until the chain stops and the motor starts to stall, screw it out a little to get a running idle which will not stall but never starts the chain spinning up. Some have two screws, one for air during idle, the other for the gas during idle. They both should be out about one and a half turns which is industry standard and then you can fine tune from there, but usually only a half turn cw or ccw would be way too much difference from the standard positions.

Chain keeps coming off my new 16" Makita chainsaw. Any suggestions?

Make sure that your chain is properly tightened and that the bar does not have any dents or dings in guide groove.I like to have my chains tightened to where you can pull them up at the mid-point of the bar about enough to fit the thickness of a nickle in between it and the bar.Do this when saw and chain are at operating temperature. If nothing else helps try a new chain if you have reached the end of tensioning adjustments. Thank you.

How to start a Husqvarna 445?

Set choke to full on. To do this depress throttle all the way down and set choke lever to on. Pull starter rapidly until saw fires . Once it has fired set to start and pull starter cord until it starts. If it doesn't start in ten - twelve pulls, reset choke for two or three pulls, then switch back to start. Pull starter cord until it starts. When it starts it wii be at full R.P.Ms. Let run for twenty to thirty seconds. then move switch to run. Hope his helps, Thanks

I have a husqvarna 141, I can start it and it will fast idle. When i kick the high idle down it stalls.

Remember taht when you start to cut you need to pull back (towards you) the upper handle this will automate the full trigger for logging.

Can not start the ms180 chain saw, tried new plug, new gas, starting fluid etc. suggestions ran this morning, and now will not start. only been used twice

Remove the plug and then plug into plug wire. With the spark plug laying on top of engine pull the recoil a couple times and you should see spark at the plug. If all is good and there is the proper mixture of gas/oil ratio in saw then >>With trigger depressed fully and choke on, pull until it fires and then shove the choke in. /////If no spark and the saw is new, I would return to retailer.

My Homelite Ranger 16 inch chainsaw starts great runs smooth but upon cutting in to any sized branch or tree it now bogs down and stops cutting. Whats strange is that doesn't die it keeps running but will...

My 16" Ranger had the same problem. Here's how to fix it. Take off the top cover and the red side cover to acess the carburator. Take the top off the carb; there is a single screw that holds it on. Inside you will see a 10mm round indention. This is a final screen fuel filter. Mine had a layer of light brown dirt over the screen. Take a small screwdriver and carefully scrape the dirt off. You don't need to clean the carb any further or adjust the H and L settings or anything. Put it back together and it should run with no bogging. down.

Chainsaw will start but will not keep going.

May need to overhaul the carb. I suggest that you replace the fuel line and fuel filter too.
