Refrigerator freezes everything-on 3rd service call now

Everything in refrigerator is freezing-got first service call after one week-had to order parts-another week for second service call to install new parts-still same problem-freezing-after one week-another service call-supposedly with a senior technician??-fingers crossed-manual says takes 24 hours for each adjustment to settle-no service call within 24 hours after the second service call to check settings!!! Poor quality service-asked for service manager and was promised a call within 2 hours-guess what? no return call-everything is at least one week for service. Bought extended warranty-no help-doesn't correct problems-
recommended solution-make a better product with proper testing!!!!

    We own a Kenmore Elite Trio, bought it in Jan. 2007. Initially had trouble with the icemaker and had that replaced at least twice. In April 2008 (after the warranty had expired) the refrigerator portion started freezing our food. This occurred especially in the lower part of the fridge section, near the produce compartments and lower shelf. Sears customer service was absolutely awful and I spent probably over 20 hours on the phone with them over 4-6 weeks time. After they came out three times and had three different "solutions" one finally seemed to work. One repairman brought some simple insulation pieces that go on the top of the freezer section. This has helped the freezing problem in the refrigerator. Now, our latest issue is we are seeing ER FF on the display. From what I've read online this is the beginning of the fan going and all of our food will spoil. There is no way we would ever purchase another Kenmore appliance and we no longer shop at Sears. I'm getting ready to replace this 2 year old refrigerator because I can't deal with the aggravation of its inconsistency.

    Sears is now finally replacing our Elite refrigerator after a month and half of trying to get the unit repaired. Took a lot of complaining-Sear has no real follow up service-very sorry support for four month old refrigerator-we are totally disillusioned with Sears. We are now finding other appliances to finish our kitchen renovation. We are satisfied with the double drawer type dishwasher from Sears-but still are so dissatisfied that we will not used Sears again.

If you have had 4 problems in a year where Sears had to replace something, you are entitled to a new refrigerator according to the lemon law. Call the 800 number and they can review your service calls. We have had several problems with our refrigerator as well. (Ice maker, lightbulb burning the plastic cover, motherboard needed replaced and the strip that holds the two doors together fell off) Today the service man was there for the 4th time to replace the door strip. I called the number and they are processing the paperwork for a new refrigerator.

Usually, there is a control knob/dial somewhere in the fridge. Did you try turning it to less power?
