Slow cold water only fill kenmore heavy duty 70 902202
I have an old Kenmore Heavy Duty 70 series washer. the cold water trickles when filling. when i turn the main water supply off and then on again the flow is normal
Series 70 washer cold water trickle, no debries in water pipes. What else could this be, maybe bad pump or lime in pump? By the way unable to remove back of washer, stuck near top. I have the same problem. Already removed and cleared both hot and cold hoses. When on cold only fill, water trickles in. When on hot fill, barely a dribble. When on warm fill, same rate as on cold -- water not warm. Is there a valve in the washer that needs to be replaced? I have the same problem. Already removed and cleared both hot and cold hoses. hum either a bad timer sticking the point contacts close. have u tried this in all cycles? and possibly a motor with bad windings not enough power to run agitation? try running in mild or gentle and see what happens? I was tempted to say the cam dogs in agitator but they dont work then stop then work, when they go out they go out.
Yours is a 2 speed motor. Does it spin in 2 different speeds. If so, then it most likely is designed with only to agitate in 1 speed. If it only spins in one speed, then your motor is defective
For the slow water issue, you will need to replace the water inlet valve. Here is a link to the part. Could you describe the noise and where it is coming from?
its a filter inside the water hose thats still blocked or the relay inside the washer for the cold feed is not opening up fully it could just need a clean or maybe a new one fitted
does you washer have a delicate, or normal speed adjustment switch, if it does make sure its not between setting or it will sound like a machine gun......you may need to replace that switch
HI thanks for your question.remove the hot& cold hoses. inside the valve you will see screens. scrape with a small screwdriver. replace hoses & try. if it works, great if not replace water valve. thanks the appliance doc. please rate my answer. thanks.
most likely a water pressure issue try adj shut off valve off slowly until noise stops if water flow not enough ckd fill screens in back of valve for sediment and trash
The washer starts on a fill cycle. If it's not getting any water check the screens in the valve where the water line hooks to the back. If it is getting water but not filling up pull up on the drain hose. If it is to far down the drain it can **** the water right out of the unit.
its in your cold water line valve to the washer if it works good with hot water the valve are incoming line being blocked when you turn it on the pressure comes in fast then when pressure is gone water slows down so when its off the pressure builds back up it runs fast then slow
The most likely cause for water fill temperature problems is the solenoid has burned out, usually cold first, it gets used more. Not a repairable item , easy to replace
