Hi whtrabbit30
Try this solution to your problem.
Go to Device Manager
To get to Device Manager you will:
Right click on My Computer>Properties>click the Hardware Tab>Device Manager.
After you are in Device Manager look for your MP3 player or Unit.
Here you should see no "Yellow" exclamation points.
If you do they they are telling you that you have a device conflict.
If you currently have your unit plugged in, you may notice the "unknown device" which would be your Player or Unit.
If you unit has an exclamation point by it, then you will need to click on it and delete it.
After you remove all devices with conflicts then click on refresh and search again for your MP3 player/Device.
The computer should install your device this time and solve your problem with connection of the MP3 player/Device.
Please take time to rate me.
Bud

Hi, sir/mam yesterday i brought philips ipod from store, today i was above to transfer some songs to it but usb is not getting detected whta to do?...

To be recgonized by other equipment, please change the PC connection preference:
Go to the root menu on your player.
Select Settings --> PC connection preference --> MSC.
Connect the player to the computer again. It should be recognized. Contents may be removed by using this function. So make sure to back up your contents.

If that doesn't work, try to repair it using Songbird.

Repair:
Launch Songbird and then connect your player to your computer. Select "Repair" under the "Tools" menu. Follow the instructions given by the pop-up windows to perform the repair process.

Sansa e260 mp3 player won't charge

Remove the back and check and see if the battery isn't fully connected
I put a folded peace of paper and put it on top of the battery
Also push softly but firmly on the Rubber rectangle above the battery (This is the Chipset For the screen, Black screen Blue ring problem) and put the back on.

Computer is not recgonizing my speakers?

Check the speakers with any other device. Probably the speakers are not working or if they work fine, connect any other working speaker to your system and check whether if they work or not.
If the other speakers also don't work you probably have a faulty port.

Usb device not recgonized

Did the keyboard come with a cd?If so(which it usually comes with),put the cd into your drive and it may just run the drivers. If nothing happens, leave the cd in the drive and go to control panel/install new hardware tab in the control panel. Then it should display a list of programs on your computer with a question mark next to it to describe that it is not running correctly(make sure the keyboard is plugged in when you do this).Click on the line that says your keyboard or it may say something along those lines...Then it will opt you to use the internet or install the program manually.Select manually and it should search for the driver, and if your cd is still in the drive,it will find any driver on said cd and install it so your keyboard will work.

Any of these keyboards usually come with software anyways,so it should be on the cd.If you dont have one:look up casio on google and see if you can get the drivers from their knowledge base.

My system (Sony VIAO running VISTA) will not recgonize my external harddrive (MyBook 500gb). Per the instructions it is supposed to be automatically recgonized upon startup/plugging in the usb.

Vista operating system is built to be security conscious about what they must accept or deny. But in any case,
1.check to make sure that the usb cable use for the connection is healthy.

2. Test the device with a different pc or laptop to be sure the fault is not from the device.

3.make sure that the usb port is enabled if not access your setup utility to do so
