SOURCE: my D.C does not keep the date

Exit the menu that comes up about time & date when you turn it on. Then press the menu button, use the left navigation button, then scroll down to date & time, and set it there. For some reason when it comes up the navigation buttons won't let you set the time, but when accessed from the menu, it will.

Battery change

The battery is built into the photo pack and cannot be replaced separately. All Polaroid photo packs are now long out of date and most have flat batteries so are useless unless the camera is converted to accept an external 6v dc power supply.

Alternatively check out The Impossible Project for compatible alternative photo packs: monochrome only, just eight shots per pack and the images are unpredictable and tend to fade rapidly, but they're the only other choice if you don't want to convert your camera.

I'm looking for a USB connector for my Fuji DX-7.

Your camera is intended for serial connection.
You can get RS-232 to USB adapters, but I'm pretty sure that they wont work with your camera. DX-7 was originally equipped with 5V Smartmedia cards. Newer (!) type cards are 3,3V. You can get a card-reader for 3,3V cards but not for 5V cards.
You can tell the difference between 5V and 3,3V by the missing corner of the card. Seen from the "golden side" 3,3V cards are missing upper right corner, while 5V cards are missing upper left corner.
I don't remember if DX-7 could use both types.

Time & date reset

Very often the date/time is maintained by a very small watch type battery built into the main board - there is no opportunity to replace this.
