Look for the actual ZIP drive and just below the slot to place the disk is a very small hole. Take a paperclip and push it into the hole applying pressure. This is the disk manual release.

How to eject a stuck dvd in a desk top computer?

by "My computer doesnt show that the dvd is in the computer" are you referring to the disk or the drive? If the drive is not showing in my computer try using this file: - (recommended fix)
And here's a method (CdGone.zip) that will do a procedure automatically for you if you're afraid to edit the registry manually.
(automatic fix, post #7, download file: CdGone.zip)
Unzip the file, then launch it.

How do you get a disk to pop out of a iomega zip 100

Hello.

If your iomega drive is connected to your computer, open My Computer and right-click on the Zip disk drive icon and choose the option to eject.

If unsuccessful, or the drive is not connected to your computer, remove the disk manually. Look for a small hole or lever. If a small hole, use a straightened paper clip and push into the hole to remove the disk. If a lever, lift and pull backwards.

Hope this helps.

Iomega ZIP drive Model Z10052 purchased in 1998. Disk is stuck inside. Have turned off electricity & used the paper clip as shown in Troubleshooting. Doesn't work, think maybe disk was put in wrong....

Some Iomega Zip drives suffer from what end users have dubbed "The Click of Death". The symptoms of the drive meltdown under this conditions is that the disk will not eject and makes a distinct clicking noise when it attempts to spin up. I do not now if the Z10052 is specifically a model of the Zip drive that is effected by this problem.

I do know that others, though I have never had the occasion to use it myself, have had success with stick disks in ZIP drives by powering down the unit then re-powering it back up while holding the drive eject button in during the process [holding the button down the whole time]. They report this has caused the disk to eject.

Error message - computer cannot read - options: initialize/ignore/eject

The fact that this happened while using Time Machine is almost assuredly nothing but coincidence. You have significant file system damage, to the point that Disk Utility can't fix it. I'd recommend that you purchase and run DiskWarrior on the drive. DiskWarrior is an industrial-strength filesystem repair program that will fix things that Disk Utility cannot.

Zip drive does not eject the disk and will not power up.

To the left of the Eject Button/Activity Light is a Disk Eject Hole. It will be a very small hole big enough for you to straighten out a paperclip and push in to hit the eject the disk

Cant figure out how to use zip drive when i have added a pass to my zip dr 250

1. Insert a blank disk into the zip drive
2. Give this disk a password (it can be any password, as long as you
remember it)
3. Using the Ioega toolset, set the zip drive's sleep time to a large
value (such as 1 minute)
4. Wait a while until the drive "spins down". You will hear the drive
stop spinning.
5. Take a pin or a straighten paper clip and stick it into a hole in
the back of the Zip drive. This will manually eject the blank disk.
6. Insert the disk you want to access (the one you don't know the
password to)
7. now use the IoMega toolset to remove the password. When prompted
for the password use the password from step (2).
This is just a word of warning in case you store any important information like I used to on zip disks. Perhaps move to a more secure medium.
