How to change transcend external harddisc fat32 to NTSC

The disk size of 698GB under Windows is correct for a 750GB drive.
This tells you there is only one partition on the Transcend drive.
It is best to reformat the Transcend drive to NTFS, unless you need to also read from the Transcend drive using a computer that does not support NTFS.
I would expect Acronis backup inviting you to reformat to NTFS if you would try using a FAT32 drive for backup. FAT32 has a file size limit of 4GB which may impede backups.

is it external hard disk, try changing usb ports means keep it in another usb port & also try changing cables u are using to connect hdd

You will have to format it. Format it in NTFS mode since it is high capacity drive. I think you are trying to use it for the first time. This also occurs if you have problem in hard drive but it is rare. Let me know after formatting, it is working or not. I will help you further.


Increase Engine Horsepower

Windows has limitation over 32GB,
you need to use a free tool like this:

unpack and use as following:

in Physical choose the disk carefully, you can erase your main disk accidentally,
click in the blue area and it change the color to green, (in this moment has a NTFS filesystem)
then choose Delete Partition and OK, the HD area change its color to grey,
choose again the grey area and again it change to green,
if you know very well your hard disk choose Quick Format, otherwise it could takes a long time to reformat.
Click on Start and it Makes the rest.

It seems that Transcend external hard drive have different file system. This is because the Mac machine is not able to transfer the files on to external hard drive. Please format the Transcend external hard drive from Mac machine and then hard drive is ready to accept the data from Mac machine. The drive either has to be formatted for Mac( HFS & HFS+) or FAT32 partitions. If you want to use Transcend external hard drive for both Windows and Macs than format the drive to be FAT32.

if you have access to a mac yo may need to refort mat the drive to FAT32 or NTSC format, windows does not recognize MAC format of data

Make sure that the Transcend HDD is formatted using NTFS and not FAT32. FAT32 has a 4G file size limit, and NTFS does not.

Make sure also that you backup any data on the Transcend drive before formatting.

If the Transcend drive is using FAT32, you might also be able to just go to command prompt, and type in:

CONVERT volume( the drive letter of your Transcend drive) /FS:NTFS

You can also get additional help using the CONVERT command by going to a command prompt and typing in:
CONVERT /?

are you shore its not your tv cos it should. Go into settings and change it to pal then try your tv settings or format your hdd to fat32 will wait to see your reply hope this helps

You drive is formatted for FAT32. What that means is the way data is stored on the hard drive is an older method that does not support files over 4GB. The benefir of FAT32 though is it can be read and written in both Windows and Mac. If you hate mac (as we all do) then screw FAT32. I almost forgot, if you use this hard drive with the xbox 360 do not continue as the xbox 360 for some ******* reason 360s can only read FAT32. The new format we are going to go to is called NTFS (new technology file system) which is made by microsoft, makers of the xbox 360. lol

Anyway first backup everything you have on that disk. Either on a computer or burn it to DVDs cause if you don't you will lose everything.

Plug in the drive, right click on My Computer (or its just "computer" now) click manage. Go to disk management on the left pane. It will take a minute to detect all your drives. You will see your 500gb drive. Double and even triple check it is your transcend drive. Right click it and click format. Change File System to NTFS.
