Hi there. It won't be a bios problem if it allows you to selet the usb to boot from. Sometimes when you try to boot ubuntu off of a usb it gives you a black screen for as long as 2+ minutes. usb drives can be slow but if it still will not boot then it is likely a problem with the boot loader on the usb stick. I would try installing ubuntu to the usb again to see if it works. If it still won't work then there is more than one way to install ubuntu to a usb. Leave a comnent here if you still can't get it to work and i can give you some more instructions of how to make it work. It shouldn't be a problem with your computer though.
Hi there. It sounds like the USB connector has broken off the phones motherboard. You can order a replacement part from www.cnn.cn and replace it yourself. You're looking for the USB charging port. If you're not comfortable taking apart the phone and soldering, your best bet is a new phone.

This isn't an iTunes problem. While the iPod is displaying this logo, you need to plug it in to a computer that has iTunes open beforehand.
Try using another computer with iTunes installed, or another USB cable for the iPod. Try to restart by holding the sleep and home buttons for about 10 seconds.
If this still doesn't work, take the iPod to your local Apple store, where they can check for any hardware problems that may have occurred.
1. This can happen if the printer is set to "USE PRINTER OFFLINE" under printer menu. (Goto Printer & faxes+double click your printer+check in the printer menu)
2. The usb cable may be bad and needs to be replaced.
3. Try to use other USB port on your computer. (This will install another printer driver but will work)
4. Your USB port on your printer may be bad (This requires your Printer's formatter replacement)
Right-click My Computer Manage Device Manager USB Controllers Delete (Generic USB Hub) Restart computer (Windows will auto-install the drivers, on reboot)
