1 van de mogelijke oplossingen is dat er vuil in de binnenkant van de lens zit. Als dat het probleem is, is de oplossing de camera op te starten met de lens naar boven. Andere oplossingen kan bv update van de software via de olympus software
Try resetting the camera, by removing the batteries, and by holding down Ok/function button while you turn the camera on.
If the lens do not extract, try helping them out by gently slapping the back of the camera while you turn it on. If they do not retract, try helping the lens back in while turning off the camera.
If that does not help, then the camera need repair service.
Hello Jakub, As you might already know that you are not the only one who is getting this error.. there are thousands of others with you .. If that makes you happy :D This code is a troubleshooting service code for "malfunction of focus motor/sensor". It is a motor/sensor issue and is normally caused by sand or dirt in the lens
cover mechanism. Try to turn on camera while holding it with
the lens pointing up. You might even try hitting the camera on your palm in that position (by hitting, i don't mean a real HIT .. be sure that you are gentle not to break the camera). If that doesn't work then try this... when the lens is trying to come out and cannot come out completely then you can assist the lens by pulling it out manually (once again, understand that its a delicate camera and I don't want you to show how powerful you are by pulling it with all your mighty vigor.. be hard and gentle at the same time .. I hope you understand what i mean)
Please let me know if any of the above steps work for you and do rate the solution :) All the best.
The error message (D: 5f08 5e02) means that your lens is dying / dead. It just happened to mine (on the Mju 700, but it's the same thing) and I was told that it could be repaired, but it would cost as much as a new camera. I've only had mine 2 years and I've been really careful with it, so I'm a bit annoyed, but I have used it a lot!

hi , i had the exact same problem as well. See my other reply to another user in this forum. I still had my 2 year guarantee ( European ), and sent it back to Olympus. They have told me that the zoom mechanism is broken ( which i figured anyhow !) , and they are replacing. As i said above, i am lucky that i was within the 2 year warranty. If yours is still within the guarantee period then contact Olympus service. If not, then i'm afraid you may have to pay. Best of luck.

after the lens close and an error appears of the screen saying "D: 5f08
