Dash juicer wont turn on

The juicer is relateively new (few months). Worked fine last week, now i press the power button and it wont turn on. I dismantled it and took a look inside, but couldnt see anything wrong. It would help if I could get a Dash manual or something... Nothing is available online.

Just fixed this problem!

Take bottom off juicer. The 4th screw is an "odd" one...I drilled the center out and used a flat head.

When you look up inside the juicer, you will see a silver lever arm. It touches the arm lock mechanism (so the juicer will only run when the arm is engaged).

The lever arm should be behind the black lever arm part on the side. When I opened mine up, the silver level arm was on top of the black post thingy. I took a screwdriver and pushed it off the black post thingy, so it the very bottom of the silver lever is behind it. (I can no longer see the entire silver lever easily when it is in the correct position.)

Totally fixed it.

I think it bounced out of the correct spot when I juiced some hard veggies or when I moved it, it hit the counter pretty hard.

Anyway, good luck....I am not a mechanic so sorry if the language is non-technical.

:)

SOURCE: how to clean juicer

i had the same problem and figured out an easy way to open it without the tool. DO NOT take out the screws. I simply used chop sticks. I put one in each small hole and held the chop sticks in an X and turned the top counterclockwise!

SOURCE: Juicelady juicer dead after 10 uses

This may sound silly, but have you tried plugging it in to a different outlet in your kitchen-i.e. (as in an outlet that is on a different breaker? or fuse?) I thought our slow cooker was toast--& it was the outlet, not the unit. When we are busy or tired & frustrated sometimes we can overlook the simpilest things.

Is it possible you have a defective cord? Taking it to a repair place is your best bet if either of those ideas don't help. Call to get an estimate first--call around to parts & repair depots in your city/area, as the cost can vary widely. Some are very reasonable while others make you wish you'd replaced it instead!

Or ask around for a retired repairman that does repairs occasionally. They often charge a lot less-but you may have to pick up the part once he/she's identified the problem. Also--trade schools that teach repairs to small appliances may fix it for a nominal fee--or even just for the cost of the part--if a part is involved.

Hope this helps...

Juicer stopped working

It sounds like a warranty issue if you bought it new. I checked the internet and this seems to be a budget juicer. I had the Jack La Lane model and fortunately the base unit (motor) was replaceable, however I concluded it was such because it wasn't heavy duty and they made money off it failing after a year. These are my personal feelings that you should look at a better model and of course you will pay more for the quality.

Philips Avance Juicer 1871 has just completely stopped while juicing lemons - its been cleaned and nothing is stuck, what should I do? Its only 3 months old.

Push the reset button underneath - this worked with mine when the same happened to me; I only realised it was there after changing the fuse, which didn't fix it. I turned it over and found the button and voila!

My jack Lalanne juicer just suddenly stopped working.

Mine stopped working after only a few uses. It turns out that the safety microswitch button wasn't being depressed. The little button on the bottom of the pulp collector had broken off. (Image #1) I put a 1/4 inch piece of a shishkabob skewer in the hole before putting the pulp collector on. (image #2) It works fine now. It's still safe. The motor will not start unless the pulp collector (receptacle) is in place and locked in. Be sure to unplug the machine before doing this. 3717db6c-91bc-41ee-b452-1ed06578f280.jpgjack-lalanne-juicer-just-rgzqoe2q2f3mnxiw25vk3yhi-4-2.jpg

you have to twist the top round so that the switch is pressed in place so the power can be turned on, from new it takes a few times to get it to click in place this is the safety device so it cannot be turned on by mistake.

Juicier will not work at all

Try the juicer on another circuit to see if the breaker failed altogether on the circuit you were using. It's possible that the machine is drawing more power than it should and may need to be checked by an appliance service dealer. An electrician can also check the power draw at the breaker to see if it is being overloaded. If the machine itself is defective, it should receive professional service. Good luck!

I turn it on but nothing happens. I've used it a few times now and it has been fine though the last time I had to turn it off and on and couple of times before it started. Today it's dead.

The blue collector bucket has a cut off switch at the bottom. Make sure it is snapped in place. The stainless bar that runs across the top also has a cut off safety switch. Make sure it too is snapped in place.
