WAY too much shaking

Why does my washer shake soooo much during the spin cycle. Now, I understand these washers shake, but this is out of control. So much, that it is very obvious that the machine is unbalanced and will not even go up to full speed for the spin cycle. The machine is level and I even anchored it to the cement floor and it doesn't help. are there adjustments I can do inside?

already opened the back and everything is still in "new" condition. on my machine, the back legs are adjustable as well. The shaking I'm getting is violent, not just the standard shaking front loading machines always do.

plus, this thing shakes with 4 towels in it. I anchored it, because it would walk down the street if I didn't.

I've rendered it useless and have called a repairman to come look at it.

When my washing machine is in spin cycle it shakes very badly. It has been shaking so much that I have a light fixture in the basement below that has fallen. I bought this machine about a two years ago and never has it shake like this. I do not know how to resolve this problem. I have adjusted the two front legs down and leveled the machine. I cannot put in spin faster than 600 rpm.

Take out the four "shipping\travel" bolts in the back of the machine. Read the manual- it will tell you how to do this. John

Open the rear to see if any springs/shocks are loose or damaged, change. Disconnect wall socket first. Then see that your machine is balanced level by adjusting the front 2 legs and locking the nuts; the rear legs are not adjustable. A slight shaking of the machine while unplugged can make it shake more during the spin. You don't anchor machines nor over-load them. A well adjusted washer never shakes.

Drum knock when spin cycle

Hello.
Noises are common when using a two-in-one washer and dryer, as clicking or whirring is part of the cleaning process during the transition to the next cleaning process. The GE Spacesaver washer and dryer combo uses a top-loading washer stacked beneath the front-loading dryer, and uses an agitator that makes noises throughout the spin cycle. Although whirring or clicking is normal, other noises or malfunction indicates a problem with the washer that requires minor troubleshooting. Professional repair is necessary if the washer continues to experience problems during the spin cycle, as there may be a problem with the washer's agitator.
1 Open the washer's door and check the balance of the load's clothes. Clothes that are unevenly distributed around the agitator cause excessive shaking and result in an imbalance during the spin cycle. Reduce the load's size by removing clothing if the washer's drum is overloaded.
2 Push "Start/Pause" to pause the spin cycle and turn the washer's cycle knob to the "Off" position. Turn the knob to "Spin Only" and press "Start/Pause" to reset the cycle.
3 Turn the wrench counterclockwise or clockwise around the unit's legs to adjust the appliance's balance. The legs are adjustable with the help of a wrench to ensure the unit does not shake while in use. An unleveled unit shakes as it spins, and causes excessive squealing or rattling as it attempts to dry the clothes.
4 Touch "Start/Pause" on the front of the washer's control panel and unplug the washer/dryer unit's power cord from the electric oultlet. Wait two minutes and plug the power cord back into the electric outlet. Push "Start/Pause" to resume the spin cycle.
Thanks.

Whirlpool duet mod#ghw9160pwo washer shakes the whole house during spin cycle. shocks look good, springs look good and adjustable feet are tight and on floor. the washer is level and i get no alarm...

Unit probably has bad main shaft and bearings. Worn bearings will cause excessive shaking on spin cycle. The shaft, bearings and seal will have to be replaced. Also if you grab the tub by the top and shake it up and down, it will have a little play in it. That will confirm bad tub shaft bearings. It's a pretty big job for a DIY.

My Speed Queen washer shakes and walks during the spin cycle. I have leveled the machine and ajusted the amount of clothes in subsequent loads and it still shakes. How do I solve this? Thank you!

Did you remove the shipping bolts from the back of the washer? They are located on the back, usually very clearly marked "REMOVE" and have a red or yellow plastic washer/bushing. This is a fairly common problem with front load washers, from what I understand.

They're big suckers, and they keep the drum suspension from absorbing any vibration (so the drum doesn't slam around during shipping). Good luck!

My washer goes into spin cycle byitself and when washing,if u r in spin cycle it sets for 14 mins thats good 4 mins into spin all knob lights start flashing and the screen says uL

One thing to understand is that this is a difficult problem to pin down and may end up requiring the control board to be replaced.

The UL or unbalanced load error is displayed when the control board senses an out of balanced load.

You don't indicate if the washer is actually out of balanced or not when the code appears but the description of banging and shaking would indicate it is out of balanced.

If the washer consistently bangs and shakes in spin then I's suggest you remove the spin basket and check under it for obstructions that might prevent the washer from spinning smoothly.

Excesive Shaking during spin cycle

Your washer has self adjusting rear legs . Tilt the machine foreward and look at the back legs . If one is stuck in , use a screwdrive and pry it out till both legs are in the out position . Set washer back down slowly and the rear legs will automatically adjust .

Front load washer shakes violently during spin cycle

On something like this you will need to remove the washer wrap to inspect the suspension springs & base assembly. Please see the link provided for accessing the inside of the washer. Be sure the shipping pins have been removed. The tub should float freely.

Samsung P801 Front Loader shakes violently during spin cycle.

When the washer goes into spin cycle it is suppost to start at a slow speed and continue to increase speed (to a maximum of 800 RPM) as the water leaves the clothes. Your washer is going directly to 800 RPM which causes the washer to shake and stop giving you the E4 code. The control board that controls this speed increase must be replaced.

Kenmore washer shakes violently during spin cycle

syrny,

Not sure what you did, exactly. First, does the machine shake when spun empty...and then with water only? If so, you have probably failed to tighten something or misaligned something. Go over your work.

No shakes? Rearrange your load. You may have a pair of heavy wet jeans which is throwing the whole thing out of kilter. It only takes about a half pound of sodden clothing to do this.
