You are trying to use your AT&T phone on the Boost Network. Motorola has put a code to prevent you from using their investment (your phone) on another network. The term "subsidy" refers to the discount they gave you when you purchased the phone from them at a discount, or "subsidy". You can try to search CraigsList for a local person who has software to unlock your phone. Search CraigsList for "unlock motorola cell phone". They will charge you a fee of around $25 to $50.

First take the battery out for a second. then put it back in and put the charger in the hole on the phone. Hold the start button and it should say phone charging. Glad I could Help!

Clean charging port, remove battery, clean contacts between battery and phone, also be sure to use an original Motorola charger instead of one of those "universal" type chargers.

Try online www.unlockitnow.com or www.mobile2mobile.net or take it to mobile store and have it unlock for a fee.

the motorola usb ports have issues with staying properly secured on the boards. maybe a quick soder job can fix it
