It spins over as long as foot on brake, release brake and repeat 3 times on the third time it usually starts and runs great. Also, if I turn it off and start it right back within a couple minutes it starts sits have to do same routine.

Here is what you need to do, a cleaning of the intake throttle blade and the idle speed control air-bypass valve, they get full of gunk over the miles and cause idle issues (stalls) like yours,
Get a can of intake cleaner from any local parts store, not carb spray, intake cleaner, it is made by a company called CRC, remove the air intake hose to the engine, hold the engine at idle high so the engine won't stall, then spray the can of cleaner into the intake while keeping the engine running, use at least 1/2 the can, shut down the engine and disconnect the battery for 5 minutes, then restart and complete a number of mixed driving cycles, town, freeway, stop and go etc., after a few days the problem will go away as the system will relearn to the clean intake

Change the DME and make the dealer do it before your warranty is up. They will try to re-program it but you should not submit demand a new one out of the box from BMW
SOURCE: take at least seven time before my car start?
if its cranking over its not the battery or starter. Its going to be a fuel pump issue or ignition issue. You wil need some test equipment. Best bet is to take it in if you dont have the equipment before you end up stranded and have to get towed in.

hello doc....
The emergency brake is mechanical not electrical. There is no fuse for the emergency brake. It is most likely that the brake cable leading to the rear brakes is stuck. This is quite common in vehicles with automatic transmissions because the e-brake (parking brake) is not used very often. As a result the cables get rusty and stick. It is also possible that the cable needs to be adjusted; but it is more likely that it will need to be replaced due to 7 years of exposure to road dirt, water, salt, etc. etc. etc. You may be able to release it by putting the car in drive and then into reverse to put a little pressure on the cable. If it does release for you, still have it checked as it will lock up again. Joe Thanks for choosing Fixya!
