Second hand works until it crosses over minutte hand and it seems to 'stick' and stops moving. stopping watch completely

is it a chronograph model? If so, reset the chrono. If not, you are going to have to send it in to a repair shop or the mfr to repair it...probably bumped it hard

The hands of an analog watch are often only press-fitted on the shafts (hour and minutes are tubular, seconds solid shaft) and the second hand has probably only slipped so it is no longer being driven. I suspect a watch-maker could reattach it for a small charge.

Absolutely astonished by this "solution" from escapement.
This watch is working perfectly - it is simply giving its "end of battery life warning".

you don't have to change battery, as it was still at the right time. There might be some other reason that your watch behave like that. A test on the capacitor of your watch is needed, if this still strong then i suggest you should have your watch General Overhauled by a technician.
