Plantronics headset disconnects after pairing

After pairing the headset with a Volkswagen Bluetooth system the connection only remains for approximately 30 seconds before 'Phone 2 disconnected' is heard in the ear piece. If a call is made during the 30 seconds the connection is persistent until such time as when the call closes, the headset then disconnects again. To be able to use the headset again the connection (not the pairing) has to be restarted. Samsung Galaxy S2 remains successfully paired to the VW bluetooth throughout this time.

I can't get my Plantronics 390 Explorer headset to pair with my new LG Octane phone!

You want to make sure there are no other bluetooth devices installed on your phone that might be interfering with the pairing process. Disconnect the battery from your phone for about 30 seconds and reconnect (to reset the phone). Then follow the pairing instructions found on pages 3-5 of this link for the Plantronics Explorer 390 User's Guide.

When I make a call using the bluetooth, I can hear who I am talking to through the bluetooth, but they can't hear me?????

Make sure both devices are fully charged. Turn off your phone and disconnect the battery for about 30 seconds (this helps to reset the phone). Make sure there are no other bluetooth devices interfering with the connection. Turn off your headset and carefully follow the pairing instructions on the link below for the Plantronics Discovery 925.

1. Why a new plantronics m100 sometimes (be change to always) disconnects (lost connection) itself while the HTC P3450 phone is kept in my suit pocket? 2. Why the headset emits unclear sound like a buzz...

Starting from the beginning sometimes cures those problems. In the link below for the Plantronics M100 take a look at the "Tips" and "Connect" pages to prepare and pair the headset to your mobile. You want to make sure your phone is empty of any bluetooth devices.

How to connect plantronics 330 bluetooth headset with my iphone 4

When joining (or pairing) a Plantronics bluetooth headset to another device a lot depends on the other device. Assuming that you know the necessary steps of your phone or PC for connecting a bluetooth device, all Plantronics headsets pretty much follow a set pairing procedure for connectivity. This one is for the Discovery 975:

1 Turn on the Bluetooth feature on your phone.
2 Turn the earpiece on. Press and hold the call control button until the indicator flashes red/white.
3 Use the commands on your phone to locate and select your earpiece. 9xx Plantronics.
4 If prompted for the PIN code or Passkey, enter 0000.

Pairing is successful when the indicator on your earpiece flashes white.

Note If your phone supports Secure Simple Pairing (SSP), you will not need to enter a PIN code or Passkey.

Headset won't stay connected.

The headset may not be pairing up correctly due to the difference in bluetooth applications. If you have a new telephone with the headset already paired up to the very first phone, it will automatically go to phone number one or the phone that it was last used with. If the answer is not in the users guide, you can try Plantronics tech line 800-544-4660.

Unable to pair LG GM200 bluetooth 2.0 A2DP with Plantronics Pulsar 260. Error: "Request Failed" Please help in connecting this two devices

Each pair of BT enabled phone and headset is a particular world. I don't have the Plantronics, but my LG phone pairs fine with my Lubix stereo headsets. I'll tell you how I managed to pair them: I put my headsets in pairing mode. Then, on my phone, I go to 'Connectivity > Bluetooth > Device list > Options > New'. If my bluetooth stack is off I'm prompted to turn it on. It starts to search for devices, and comes up with my BT headsets' name, I press 'Pair', it prompts me for the pairing code. I enter '0000' (the same code for your Plantronics' headsets, by the way) and Ok. Then, back to the Device list, I select the BT headsets and go to 'Options > Connect'. I'm good to go. After listening to music, I use to go again to 'Connectivity > Bluetooth > Device list', select the headsets and press 'Options > Disconnect'.
Hope it works for you.
Cheers! Carlos
