SOURCE: power on password for toshiba TE2100 laptop

Is this before the system gets into windows or is this a Windows Password? There are two Types of Passwords, The normal Windows one, and A BIOS system that will not allow you onto the System at all. There are two ways of fixing a BIOS password, 1). (and not all that common) There is a Master BIOS password that will reset all other passwords, This will take some research on the internet to find, But If you can find this, It will fix the BIOS password in no-time. 2). Remove the CMOS battery FOR 30 Seconds to 1 Minute. This may be a bit more difficult on a Laptop, But if you cannot get to it, Bring it into a Store, Most people will do this for little to no charge. Removing this Will reset the BIOS to default, So make sure you copy all the Settings so you can put them back to normal Before doing this.

Now if this is a Windows Password, you have no choice but to bring this in, Most Stores do have programs that Can Change the .SAM file. This isnt easy to do, So I would let a Professional do so

Emachines E528 laptop won't start

Try to boot it from safety mode.
and try to restore your system first.
If the restoring is failed, boot safety mode again and back up your files.
If you can't boot your laptop from safety mode, use anti virus program CD like norton.
Mostly, your system is messed up by adwares, spywares, and virus.
If all things fail, you should check your HD.

I get a message on my ACER Aspire Laptop7551 Series, which says Enter HDD User Password. What do I do?

Well, obviously someone has put a password lock on the hard drive and if it wasn't you and you don't know who it was or know the password your only option is going to be to replace the hard drive. There are places that can unlock a drive but you have to prove to them that is yours and they are expensive. Cheaper to just replace the HD

I have a virus on my emachines laptop E528 Series and it wants the password to the hard drive before I can fix it. I can't remember the password. What can I do?

Unfortunately, when a hard drive password is assigned, either accidently or not, there is no way to get pass that lock. We have even tried swapping the control board from an eact same harddrive, doing a sector by sector wipe, all to no avail. If you cannot remember or know the password, the harddrive will have to be replaced.

I have a emachine e528 laptop when I cut my computer on it just shows a blinking white underline in the top left corner how do I fix this?

First things first. Make sure you don't have anything connected in the USB sockets or the bays (CDs etc). Disconnect from the charger and also remove the battery. Hold down the 'on' button for 10 seconds...this will reset your laptop. Reconnect to power and try to switch on again. If the laptop still doesn't function it may be a RAM problem or a hard disc problem (you can try removing and re-installing both). It's worth trying a Windows installation disc to see if the laptop can boot from that. If it can, that will prove your RAM and motherboard is OK and indicate a problem with loading Windows. You don't say whether you get any 'splash' screen....that's the one that usually gives the manufacturers name briefly. If you don't even get that, it could be a bad omen. If you can get the Windows installation disc to boot, you can do a repair installation. To do that you go right through the installation procedure until you get the prompt asking you if you want a new installation or repair installation. This is different from the Repair Console- don't select that. You may find that the installation fails because the hard disc is no good. In that case you will have to transfer your data onto a new disc, there's free software to do that (you will need another laptop or PC)

How do you unlock a computer

What's locked on it? There are three passwords that can be set on a computer. 1) Bios Password, 2) Hard Drive Password & 3) Windows Welcome Screen User Logon Password. Which one are you talking about?

If you're talking about the Hard Drive Password, then 99% of the time it's a stolen laptop. If you're smart enough to set the hard drive password, you're smart enough to remember it. The Hard Drive Password is set the by original owner to keep thieves from getting to sensitive data. Sometimes the original turns on the Hard Drive Password remotely once the laptop is stolen. The only way to break the code is for the original owner to put the password in. The stolen laptop is useless to the thieves without the Hard Drive Password.

Forgot code to open up computer

LOL, what code? If you're talking about the password, which password? The Bios Password, the Hard Drive Password or the Windows User Account Password? Which Operating System? If it's the hard drive password, I'd bet my house you either stole the laptop or bought it hot from someone. If you're not smart enough to remember the password, then you're definitely not smart enough to know how to set a password on the hard drive.

When i turn on my laptop it ask for a password in blue and then there is a blinking curser and black screen it wont do anything after that unless i press f2 reapeatedly or f12 but i cant fix nothing on the...

There are two types of password:
1. BIOS password. To remove the BIOS password, the solution is, remove the BIOS battery. Location of the BIOS battery, the bottom of the laptop. So you have to unscrew the bottom of the laptop, find the BIOS battery and release approximately 7 seconds, then plug it back. Then, turn on the laptop, enter the BIOS by pressing F2, do the setting the date, time, etc.

2. Password Log on. When turning on the laptop, and log on, then we are asked to enter a password, but we never give password to log on. However, when we enter the password, always fails, it means the virus-infected operating system (operating system has been controlled by a virus). These cases often I meet, the Windows XP operating system is infected with the virus. The solution is to reinstall the operating system. Repair operating system, or breaking into password virus, I've tried, but always failed. So, the best solution is to reinstall the operating system.

If you are using Windows 7, you can fix with, insert the Windows operating system CD, then boot from the CD Room. Solutions you can do:

1.
Boot from CD Room, select Next - select Repair your computer - Next - select System Image Recovery

10_9_2011_8_00_54_pm.jpg

2. Boot from CD Room - select Next - select Install now - check the "I accept the license terms" - Next - select Custom (advanced). Then, select the drive where you installed windows - Next. Wait for your operating system install process to complete. Then enter your user name, etc.

After entering the desktop, don't open drive C, D, E, F, because the drive is still infected with the virus. All you have to do is, connect your laptop to the Internet, download anti-virus. You can use free anti-virus (Avira or AVG), then anti-virus updates. After the update is complete, do a virus scan, drive C, D, E, F. If a virus is detected, Primary action = repair, Secondary action = delete.

After drive C, D, E, F clean from viruses, you can open the drive C, D, E, F. You don't have to worry about losing data, because Windows 7, will backup your data in a folder Windows.old. In Windows.old folder, there are three folders: Program files, Users, Windows. Data stored in My Documents, can be found in the Users folder.

My laptop turned off and now its asking for a primary user hdd password witch i dont have how do i unlock it?

You have to unlock the hard drive from within BIOS if you don't want to see that screen again. However, if you don't know that password then the laptop is not going to usable by you. Normally this prevents access to a computer in case someone steals it, since the thief won't know the hdd password and can't unlock it to access any data.

Toshiba laptop hdd1/ssd1 password i don't know

You can try calling Toshiba's laptop support line but they will require proof of ownership. If they can't get it removed then your only option is to get a new hard drive. Reason is because when a hard drive password is put on a hard drive its programmed into the circuitry in the hard drive so if you don't remember the password then you can't get past that screen.
