My E63 has been blocked by the Optus network...how do i un block it

Your handset can become fully locked due to exceeding the number of attempts to enter the correct unlock code. The type of handset you have will determine what process to follow to see if the handset can be unlocked. If your handset appears with a Code Error or does not unlock with the first or second attempt, you will need to call Customer Service to confirm the code. Once the handset is fully locked it will require manually unlocking from Optus and your handset will need to be sent away.

1 Insert SIM
N.B. Can be unlocked with SIM removed from handset however there is a 5 second time limit 2 Power phone on 3 Type: #pw+15 digit code+1 (where '15 digit code' is the unlock code) 4 Press Hash (#) - SIM Restriction OFF will display on screen for one second
Troubleshooting:
  • If the unlock code is incorrect the phone will display the message 'Code Error'
  • If the user tries to unlock a phone which does not have SIM Lock activated the phone will display the message 'SIM was not restricted'
  • If the syntax (#pw+) is incorrect when entering the unlock code - nothing will happen.

My online account has been locked by my guardian who i no longer live with. is there any way to remove the block so that i can re activate my phone that she shut off?

Hi,

Let me give you a little background and then some solutions. This is generic because I don't know your carrier. I'm useing ATT as an example.

Phones are naturally unlocked, but a service provider might lock them

When originally manufactured, all GSM cell phones are unlocked. That is, they can be used with any SIM from any cellphone service provider - always assuming, of course, that the cellphone service provider has compatible GSM service on the same frequency bands that the phone can operate on.

Most cell phone service providers electronically 'lock' the phone so that it can only be used with their service. There are obvious reasons why they choose to do this - in particular, to force you to pay what are usually very high roaming charges when you take your phone out of their network and use it elsewhere in the world.

Fortunately, this locking is reversible. With some phones, it is possible to simply enter an unlocking password code into the phone and it is immediately then unlocked. Other phones need to be connected up to a special unlocking data terminal.

Your phone has to be unlocked by the carrier. LG, Motorala, Sony Ericsson, Nokia  and most of their ilk, will not give consumers the unlock codes but don't despair.

A PUK (PIN Unlock Key) code is required to unlock SIM cards that have become locked following three successive incorrect PIN entries. If your SIM card becomes locked, you will need to get a PUK code from your carrier. For example, if you have AT&T to unlock your SIM card, you can obtain your phone's PUK code from AT&T by:

●        logging in to your myWireless Account online
●        using their Technical Support Chat
●        calling Customer Care at 1-800-331-0500

To get your phone's PUK code online from ATT:

●        Log in to your myWireless Account.
●        Select My Services under My Account.
●        From the My Services screen, select My Phone/Device.
●        Select Unblock SIM Card.
●        The Unblock SIM screen will display your PUK code.

Once you receive your PUK code, you will need to enter it into your phone to set a new PIN code.

Note: If you enter the wrong ATT PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator."

There are three other ways to unlock a phone:

●        The carrier will unlock the phone for you at one of its retail outlets;
●        You can do it yourself by clicking on this link Free Unlock Codes ,
●        Pay $3.89 at the following website:  www.theunlockshack.com/.

I trust that this is helpful and solves your problem. All the best

I have a Samsung C3050 & when i put my giffgaff SIM in all it says is 'invalid sim', theres nowhere to put a code into. Its locked to vodaphone.

Switch on your mobile phone with a sim card from a network other than the network you are currently with. If you are able to use the phone, you can be sure that your phone is not locked. If your phone displays an error message saying "Wrong sim" or "Incorrect sim" or "Emergency calls only", etc., then your phone is probably locked.
So simillarly your Samsung C3050 should also unlocked...make use of the unlock codes from the website http://www.theunlockspot.com/samsung-c3050/rs10wp9/ it is easy to unlock.Instructions for unlocking is also provided to you.

Phone locked

WARNING: ALL CONTACTS AND OTHER SETTINGS MAY BE LOST DURING THIS PROCESS!!!

Method:
Before you start, make sure the battery is charged and all security codes or PIN codes or watever are disabled so we dont have any code prompts interfering with this method.

1. Turn off the mobile phone.
2. Insert a "Non-accepted" SIM card (sim card that wont work) half way in so that when you turn on the phone, it still says "Insert SIM".
3. Turn on the phone.
4. Enter the following code and wait patiently for phone to reset:

*2767*2878#

5. Once reset has completed, the phone will still say "Insert SIM". This is where you need to push the sim card all the way in. You can use a paperclip or a tiny object to push it in if you have difficulty. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE PHONE REMAINS ON AT THIS STAGE (TRY NOT TO LET BATTERY FALL OUT) IF BATTERY FALLS OUT, DO NOT PANIC, JUST START FROM STEP 2 AGAIN.
6. Enter the following code and wait patiently for phone to reset:

*2767*3855#

7. After reset is completed, SIM should work and also the reception. Don't get excited, its not unlocked yet.
8. Now we want to make it permanent. First check what locks need to be deactivated with the following code:

*#7465625#

------------------------------------------------------------------------
a)
If Network Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*638*00000000*00000000#
Message should be "Network Lock has been personalised" or similar.
Then:

#7465625*638*00000000#
Message should be "Network Lock deactivated" or similar.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
b)
If Subset Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*782*00000000*00000000#
Message should be "Subset Lock has been personalised" or similar.
Then:

#7465625*782*00000000#
Message should be "Subset Lock deactivated" or similar.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
c)
If SP Lock is "Active", put in the following code:

*7465625*77*00000000*00000000#
Message should be "SP Lock has been personalised" or similar.
Then:

#7465625*77*00000000#

------------------------------------------------------------------------
d)

Then:

#7465625*27*00000000#

------------------------------------------------------------------------
e)

BlackBerry Storm -Sim card not accepted by the mobile

This is because many Blackberry Storms included the Vodaphone SIM card for when you are traveling abroad. Since you do not need it for using the phone in the US, and the SIM has not been activated for international use, you can remove it. The error message will not hinder the performance of the storm, but the message is rather annoying. It is located in the battery compartment, just below the battery and to the left of the memory card slot. You will need to remove the battery in order to remove the SIM card. Keep it in a safe place in case you ever need to activate the phone for international use.
