On the other hand, you can return to the store and say 'I broke my cf-card plug with a crappy cf-card, can you have my camere fixed" they'll answer yes of course and charge you big bucks since this part is soldered directly on the board of the camera and you'll need a brand new board.

I would also recommend you carefully check all your cf cards to find which one caused the pins to bend and to trash it right away.

ps, ask for how much it will cost you to have it repaired since it may cost you more than the actual value of the camera. I don't recomment disasembling the camera by yourself, this will void any sort of warranty you may have and you won't be able to fix this anyway, you need a new cf adapter or a new board.

This could well be a serious issue, which you'd need to send to your manufacturer to fix, however there are a few things you could try first:

Take your lens off and with a clean rubber (like on the end of a pencil), clean the contacts of both the camera and the lens.
