Ok, like this. Cameras don't have an option "HDR", they have the possibility of taking HDR photos.

HDR is a term used for taking pictures with good lighting and shadows - this you need to set yourself - once you have, you have HDR ;)

An HDR image is commonly made by taking three photos of the same scene, each at different shutter speeds. The result is a bright, medium, and dark photo, based on the amount of light that got through the lens. This can be done by changing the shutter speed or bracketing. I would like to know if this is possible with the camera I currently have.

Canon powershot sd940 is wont turn on with full battery

How do you know the battery is full? Even when the charger says so, it can be the voltage is high enough, but the battery can't deliver any current.
Other cause; you did put in the battery the wrong way around.
Other cause; there is some dirt in the battery housing, blocking the work of the battery. Check if all contacts, from battery and in the camera are clean, shiny and free. If there is any dirt or oxide on the contact points, clean with a dry cloth. Never use sharp tools on contacts.

My SD940 IS won't show up as a drive on my Mac. Why can't it just mount the SD card as a drive like any other normal camera? And no, unless you send me money, I will not get a card reader.

All pros use a card reader because they don't want to put up with the behavior your computer is displaying. Why can't you? This one is $13 at Walmart. 034fabf.jpg
