Press and hold the on/off button for ten seconds will re-set the system on the satnav. If the screen freezes after loading the maps then connect the Satnav to a pc via a usb lead and download the latest Service update fom Navman.com. With the Satnav connected to the computer and the download compleated double-click the F10 set-up.Exe and it will update the system on the Satnav. Once complete disconnect the cable and restart the F10. That was the way I sorted mine out after recieving 'little' help from Tech Support from Navman.com. My problem seems to be in the Multi-drop ability of the F10 [program one location and try and add another to plan a route] but I have never got anyhelp from the tech's other than "Buy a Connectivity kit from us and you may be able to use that to fix the problem....". If you get a "Not enough memory to complete update... " message after double clicking the F10 set-up, you will need to go into your F10 Satnav memory and look up some of the saved files from previous routes you have stored in there. I deleated some of these to free memory and it didn't seem to affect the Satnav's programming and allowed the update to complete. My F10 started fine after that. If you need any more help, Navman.com tech support may be able to suggest something....., just don't hold your breath....
navman f10? If so, check the DVD that came with your unit as they may be on there (if so, call up navman and PAY for the licence code) as they won't work otherwise. If it is not on the DVD (definitely the case with the s-series) then you can purchase them off navman's aussie website - check it out though as it may be cheaper to purchase from navman UK's website (was the case with maps for the f20).
Hi, my probelm is very similar I turn it on and it shows a laptop, usb connection and the navman with a usb cable connecting them together,it also has circle running back an fourth
When I turn my unit on all I can see is the accept/decline screen. The unit will not load the maps. How can I fix this? Step 1
Connect your Navman Device to your computer via a USB cable.
Turn on your device and you will see a connection screen appear. Step 2
Wait a few Seconds until a window appears on your desktop and then select “open folder to view” by double clicking on it
Step 3
Once you have opened this folder you will need to double click on “My Documents”
Step 4
Once my documents is opened locate and files that starts with “LOG00” and also “My Mileage” and delete them
Step 5
Once the above steps are done you may disconnected your unit from the computer.
Turn your unit on and enter your main menu page 2/2 and select “Preferences” then select “Route Options”
Once this is selected go to page 4/4 and un-tick “Enable GPS data logging” and “Enable trip recording”
Your unit is ready to use and will run a lot smoother due to increasing unwanted data and freeing space to increase optimum performance. We suggest that you follow these steps once a month to ensure optimal performance.
These steps will work on the S50, S80 or S90i. If you are experiencing this issue on an S30 or any other device, please contact Navman Technical Support on 1300 628 626.
