How can you fix just a black screenThe TV was fine when I went to bed I did leave it on all night and when I got up the next morning I had sound but the screen was completely black

How you would fix a black or blank screen on your TV.

  1. Ensure that the power sources for all your devices (TV, digital box, VCR, etc.) are securely connected to your devices and the outlet. If that doesn’t fix it,

  2. Check that your TV is set to the correct input. If that doesn’t fix it,

  3. Unplug the power cord from your digital box, wait for 30 seconds, then plug it in again. Wait until the box has fully powered on again, then see if the picture has returned. If that doesn’t fix it,

  4. If you have an HDMI cable connected to your TV, you could try an HDMI handshake.

Buzzing noise comming from speakers when i have my cable audio out pluged into a receiver

I have the same problem. What I was told is to check to make sure that all your connections are not loosely plugged into the outlets. Or buy a surge protector which might help some.

When i turned on my Samsung LED television all i get is a blank grey screen with no sound. i have Comcast but my other tvs are fine. i can play a dvd on it with sound and screen, no problem and the menu...

Follow the cable from the Comcast set top box and see where it is plugged into the tv. Check what that jack is labled and then select that option on the TV menu. My guess is that the tv and dvd are not both on component 2, if the are then the set top box is not connected directly to the tv but to the DVD unit. In that case, if the cable set top box is connected to the dvd, then you might need to put the tv on ch 3 (or maybe 2 or 4) or you may need to switch a setting on the DVD box or remote that selects the TV/DVD option.

My Yamaha RXV663 does not produce sound from the cable box. In fact, when I touch the HDMI cable between the cable box and the receiver, I feel a slight voltage tingling my hand. I realize that can't be...

Are you plugging this in to the correct plug on your receive and from your cable box? It should be HDMI OUT on your cable box, and one of the HDMI Inputs on your receiver. Then there should be a main HDMI cable going in to your television from the main HDMI OUT on your receiver to the television HDMI In.
Also, make sure the receiver is plugged in. Not on, but plugged in, because that is your ground. If all of these conditions are satisfied, there may be an issue with your cable box or the receiver.

Vcr hooked up, no audio

From the VCR to the tv if you have RCA cables its kind of hit and miss where the audio cord goes. Only one of the jacks are for sound but it has to be plugged in to the right input. Audio is usually the white one. Just keep touching it to inputs until you hear sound start to come out of the speakers. Hope it helps.
