Hp 2175 flashes "remove and check cartridge"

I put in 2 all new expensive cartridges in the hp2175 after refills from Walgreen's did not work satisfactorily, printer does not print correctly again and insists on saying" remove and check cartridge" . I've successfully printed so many times on this machine before and now it just keeps printing the same thing. What can I do?

SOURCE: HP PSC 2355 Won't accept refilled ink cartridges

If problem is what I think it is (that is if you cleaned whole thing and it is connected proprely), you have only one option. To buy at least three cartridges...problem is due a small trick made by HP. Printer remembers at least two cartridge serial numbers, and then wont accept refilled ones. But if you first stick one, then the other, and on the end the third one(only this one should be really full) it should reset printer and it should foul it to accept it. But on some printers it needs up to five cartridges! What a waste of money :( Anyway, hope this helps...

SOURCE: refilling inkjet cartridge!!

Have you purchased a refill kit yet ? If so there are great instructions with them. but generally there is a rubber cap on the top of the cartridge you remove. You draw the ink into a syringe and slowly inject it into the cartridge. Slowly is the key. Replace the plug and tape over it with the tapes they provide. Its important you get the sealing done right or air will enter the top and the ink will flow out of the cartridge into your printer.
It's really not hard at all, just follow the procedures carefully and in 10 minutes you will have the cartridge functioning again.
Just follow the directions, you will be fine.

SOURCE: Brother laser cartridge refills

You will need to reset the Flag gear. This is situated at the other end of the cartridge to the refill hopper. There are 3 screws that you must undo first, you will notice a small white flag gear, this needs to be turned back to the beginning of the curved section. After removing the screws, CAREFULLY remove the end plate and pull the flag gear out slightly and return it to the beginning position, which is the other end of the curved section. Put your cartridge back together again..Your printer will now accept this refilled cartridge

Yes you could refill those types of cartridges, but i would not suggest it! Unoriginal ink will cause loss of quality and also if not sealed correctly it could spill allover the printer and will certainly cause damage.

Remove and check cartridge keeps showing up. Have tried new ink cartridge and still does not work, turned off and on, hit enter, cancel, cleaned, etc and still cannot get to work.

Are you using third party cartridges or even worse, refilled cartridges? If you are, then the odds are that they are causing the problem.

If they are factory new HP cartridges, contact your seller and tell them the cartridges you were sold were out of box defective.

Can I use the black cartridge only in my Hp2175?

You have to have both cartridges in for the printer to work.
To print in black only go to control panel, printers, properties, printing preferences, color then select gray scale.

Remove and check cartridge keeps flashing, wont stop flashing, even after in remove cartriges and replace them

I've found out what was wrong. My cartridges expired. HP has put a "limit" on how long your cartridges last. They do this to try to prevent refilling. Cartridges typically last for a little less than two years after the expiry date listed on them.

You can fix this (as I did) by buying a couple of new cartridges # 56 and #57. They sell them together in the same pack for 50-something bucks in Walmart.

Hope this helps.

2175 printer

This is a typical error with the 2175 / 2100 series.
1.) Error comes up if ink in cartridge's ink level gets too low.
2.) The ink cartridge's copper contacts are dirty. Dirt you can't see. Clean contacts with alcohol & cotton swab's (not dripping).
3.) The carridge contact's need cleaning. (Same as above).
4.) The cartridge, (even though new, can be defective).
5.) You are using a "refill kit" of some kind to refill ink cartridge's.
6.) After 1-5, re-set the printer. Power off printer wait a minute & power back on.

Hp 2175 printer

have you succesfully refilled the cartridge before?
i'm not sure, but you might need a chip resetter to refill a cartridge

it's also possible it doesn't work if you have refilled the cartridge more than three times

i recommend you to buy a new cartrige instead of refilling
