Hello Frank - Since a gas range is such a complex unit and for safety and liability reasons the unit is not designed to be lift open. However you may clean the burner grates, burner caps, and the surface burner heads.

Popping noise in oven when baking

Hello friend, thanks for your inquiry!

From what you have described there is a popping noise within your Frigidaire oven when it is baking. It could be some food residue left on the element or an issue with the thermostat. I would recommend checking the inside of your oven for any food residue near or on your element that could cause a noise of any sort. I hope this information is helpful to some degree. -Matt

One igniter won't fire?

I appreciate your inquiry, Mark Waggoner!

From what you have described one igniter on your Frigidaire range will not start. It sounds like a possible issue with the burner or igniter. I was unable to locate any steps on how to disassemble your range. I did locate a parts manual which provides a through breakdown of all the parts within your range. If you continue to have issues I would suggest contacting a technician for proper disassembly of your range. I hope this information provided is helpful. -Matt

Frigidaire Gas Self Cleaning Oven door open in lock position

Hello ericndiana6b - Was the unit in self-clean mode? Try pressing and holding the "Clear/Off" button to stop any operation of the EOC. Do this at the same time while pushing and hold the light switch to the left of the door lock. Usually this will trick the oven into unlocking the door. If it is ineffective, try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and redo the steps. If door continues to maintain locked while open, the unit may possibly have a faulty door latch or a communication problem with the EOC. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.
