Wireless Problem. G'day mate, you probably don't remember me but you've helped me with alot of things in the past, especially my logitech speakers. Anyway, i'll jump to the point, When I bought my Windows XP Home edition, and setup with Optus, they gave me a DSL-502T D-link modem/router, it had one ADSL port, One Ethernet port and one USB Port (Which isnt really shaped like a USB port), anyway, After a while it broke, and Optus gave me a Small, similar modem, called a DSL-200 ADSL Modem, this had one ADSL port, and another 'USB' port, that isnt really a USB port. Anyway, with this, the internet plugged into the adsl port, and a cord went from the 'USB' port into the computer, and the computer fed power into it. While it fed internet back. Anyway, about a week ago I got another computer, for my sister, and I was going to move my Computer into my room, and she was going to have hers in the lounge room, where mine previously was, so I moved them all around and Bought a DI-524 D-link Wireless router, this has four ethernet ports and one WAN port, I soon figured I needed my old modem back if I wanted to do all of this, because my new one did not have a ethernet port, so I went and bought another DSL-502T Modem/router, just like the one I mentioned previously. (Not sure if any of the above is necessary, Just wanted to give you the information just incase you needed it) Anyway, here is how I have it setup, just like it says to do on the CD. ISP --> DSL-502T Modem/Router (ADSL Port) --> DI-524 Wireless Router (Ethernet Port) --> Computer 2 (Ethernet Port). Computer 1 (My computer) Is not connected to any internet or ethernet related cords. When I had the two setup next to eachother, it was all working fine, besides random disconnections every 10ish minutes. Then I moved computer 1 into my room, and now it detects the wireless router, but when I try to connect it takes about two minutes, then doesn't work. And every now and then it doesn't even detect it. It in the room next door, which is about 2m away, if you can walk threw walls, but about 20m away if you walk properly, the walls are made out of cement and we're at the ground floor of a 8 storey building, just incase you think the signal might be blocked or something. On both Routers, The power lights are perfect, the status lights are flashing in perfect timing (I'm pretty sure that's what theyre suppose to do), On the Modem/Router, the ADSL and the Ethernet are both perfect, on the Wireless Router, the DSL 502-T D-Link Modem/Router Power Light - Perfect Status Light - Flashing in timing ADSL Light - Perfect Ethernet Light - Perfect DI-524 D-link Wireless router Power Light - Perfect Status Light - Flashing in timing WAN - Perfect WLAN - Flashing strangly, completely off timing. Ethernet Port 1 - Perfect. Sorry that I wrote so much, I wanted to get as much information in as possible so we can fix this as fast as possible, if you need any more info just ask me, i'm posting this from computer 2, my sisters. If you fix this your a total legend, thanks, Damo.

Straight after I posted this, I was trying to fix it myself, So I right clicked on the little "Wireless network connection" icon, and clicked repair.

    And viola, it's fixed.

Now it works fine, both computers. Except I suspect that the wireless is slower downloading speed than the normal one, I know lots of people have this problem but do you have any ideas how I can fix/help this?

Cheers mate, thanks for all the help and happy new year to you!

Ugh now it's barely working, sometimes it doesn't even detect my internet, and sometimes it does but it has a very low signal strength.

Btw, could you please explain how to do the things in your last comment?

try adding a range extender to your network. should cost about $45 at best buy. dont get the cheapest model but you also dont need the most expensive model either. try for something Cisco or linksys.

    good luck

SOURCE: Connecting a DI-524 to a DI-604

This shouldn't really be any problem simply use a short "Uplink" ethernet cable to join the routers thru the uplink port, or any port really, and that way ya should be able to wifi and access the net, set ya router that connects to the net for DCHP and disable that setting in the Wifi router and ya should be good to go?

SOURCE: My D 502T Adsl+2 will connect but when I try to

First of all, what IP address does the 502 give you when you plug into it alone? Do an IPCONFIG from DOS and note the numbers.

Now, what is the default IP of the 524. Is it the same as the 502?
If it is, change your 524's IP to something else, like 192.168.1.1.
If it isn't, please post back what your IP configuration is and what the link is, DSL,Cable Modem, PPPoE, or DHCP either fixed or variable.

I cant get the other buttons on my logitech mx1100 to work on combat arms

If it's all games then you probably need to install some drivers, they will be available from the Logitech website.

Different games are designed(sometimes not very well) with different hardware in mind, as such some games won't allow you to use certain buttons etc. If there are no bindings for the buttons in your games settings then you would need a piece of software to translate the button presses to keyboard commands..unfortunately I don't think one exists for mouse to keyboard. There are a couple that convert joystick/pad input to keyboard commands, you could see one of them would suit your needs.

Here's a link to joy to key's website, I can't remember any others but I know there's at least one more out there.

I hope you find a solution to your problem, especially since I've suffered the same thing in the past.

How do I re-instate my CAPS LOCK/VOLUME screen display, it was there one day (in bright green text on my screen) and gone the next day. It difficult to function without it especially when typing case...

There is most likely some configuration software for it. look in start menu for 'logitech'

windows wouldn't normally use this green text, so i would expect it is some kind of software that goes with it.

Logitech cordless headphones model #A-00006 has problem with left headphone cutting out. Please help.

Hi All,

I have a

are Logitech Model # A-00006 and the wireless antenna unit is Model # A-00007.

Recently I am noticing that what is normally a stereo experience of listening while I am in on a Beacon conference call is becoming a mono experience (only the right earphone). Not sure if this is because of bandwidth fluctuations or a problem with beacon or a problem with my headset, but it doesn't seem to do it when I'm in a 1:1 call.

Odd thing is I don't hear it cutting out when I am making a direct call - only when it's a multiparty Conf call.

Thank you inadvance,

B1L

No sounds on my speakers

1. Power to the speakers (make sure they are plugged in!)
2. Make sure the speaker line is plugged into the correct port on your sound card. The connector should be green and possible the port will be green to.
3. Double click the little speaker in the bottom right of the screen (assuming you are using XP/VISTA) and make sure nothing is muted.

Post back with your results.
