Whenever I reach 60 mph my car begin to make a rubbing type noise coming from the rear drivers side wheel area. When I drop below 60 mph I never hear the noise. Say I'm on the high way with cruise on 65, the rubbing noise will begin, get louder and then fade away for several seconds before doing the same all over again.

your problem is more than likely one of a few problems
there are two hoses on your transfer case one sucks in one blows out if one gets cloged it will go out completly so have it checked its starting.
or check the oil in the transfer case

The nylon gear probably has a few missing teeth.
You will have to replace the gear in the door.
In an emergency, you can pull the window up, and press the UP button to close it.. caution!
Don't mash your fingers. Use both hands with "open palms" against the windows to push up the windows. Don't pull up the windows from the top of the glass.
Hope this helps!

If it's making a clunk noise when hitting bumps, check the mounting plates and bushings that hold the rear end to the frame. GM made these plates out of aluminum and the bolts that go through the plate and the bushings rot out and the rear end slams against the frame.

the traction control system watches wheel speed thru the wheel speed sensors. it was designed to aid in traction in slippery conditions. when one of the wheels loses traction and the system sees an abnormal insrease of speed in one of the wheels the system will activate and derate the power to avoid wheel slippage. going around a corner the outside wheel will spin faster then the inside wheel. under normal acceleration nothing will happen, however under heay acceleration you may be causing a wheel to break free, especially on wet roads. you could have a speed sensor problem but i would expect you would also have an antilock problem. try a slower acceleration around corners then try a heavy acceleration, if it was ok on normal acceleration but activated on heavy acceleration then your going to have to lighten up on the pedal a bit. otherwise the system should be scanned for codes. i never liked this system much and it wasen,t around too long. good luck!
