Actually, I know about the phone locks. Thanks alot for the help anyway but I wanted to know how I could lock the keypad like we do in other phones by pressing the hash # button and then the menu button. But as Comega82 said, there is no keypad lock in flip phones, he is right because I cannot lock the keypad for sometime...until i unlock it again. Thank you very much the help. Okay, i understand that you have a Sony Ericsson Phone and hence would like to annotate to the above information that, you can lock the keys in these different ways:
1. Phone lock: Protect your phone against unauthorized use if it is stolen and the SIM card is replaced. You can change the phone lock code (0000) to any four- to eight-digit personal code.
Automatic phone lock: If the phone lock is set to automatic, you do not need to enter your phone lock code until a different SIM card is inserted in the phone.
To set the phone lock: 1. Menu-->Settings -->the General tab -->Security -->Locks -->Phone protection -->Protection and select an alternative. Enter the phone lock code -->OK.
2. Generally, the Sony Ericsson phones have the automatic keypad lock under the General Tab--> Security...Check for that...

If it is a flip phone, most flip phones dont offer the ability to lock the keys because they are thinking there isn't a need for that since the keys are hidden by the top of the phone, if it is a candybar phone usually the menu key and the * (star) key are used to lock and unlock your phones, if its a smart phone there may be some options in the settings. You didnt mention what brand your phone is based on the model number sounds like a samsung. you can go to samsungs website and research the model number and usually they have information on how to do everything you need with the phone. most cell phone carriers have this info too, you may have to dig threw the website a little though

Steps to Reset Settings
This resets the phone to factory default settings.
Press OK key for Menu.
Press right navigation key twice to Select Settings & Tools.
Press 5 or Phone Settings.
Press 5 or Security.
Enter lock code, then press OK. The default lock code is the last 4 digits of your phone number.
Press 3 or Reset Default.
Press OK, select Revert then press OK.
Warning!: While reset/restore operation under process, you
are advised not to remove your battery until the operation is completed
and cellphone restarts otherwise phone damage may occur.
If the Panel Key Lock feature was set to 'on' so that the Remote Commander could be used the user manual, page 34, says, "If you press and hold the MENU key for about 10 seconds when the power is on, the lock will be released and "Panel Key Lock" is automatically set to "OFF"." However, if the Security Lock feature was set, which requires a password, and you don't know what the password is you have to call the Sony Customer Service center and be ready with the device's serial number and your personal information.
I'll start by saying your post indicates it is a Bosch classixx and the "child lock" selection has been activated, either intentional or accidental. To reset it is as follows...
1) Press the "menu" button until you see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. ( if nothing is pressed within 10 sec.following this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display )
2) Once you see what I just mentioned in the display press the "select" button until "CHILD LOCK :OFF" appears in the display.
3) Finally by pressing the "start/pause" button the key symbol should disappear confirming you have successfully exited the child lock program.

Some of those cars did not have that option on them. You must frist open the drivers door. then press the lock button on the main switch oin the door. Then close the door and slowly insert the key 6 times within 10 seconds but do not go to fast and when the flashers blink then turn the key to the ACC potion and press one of the buttons on the remote.
The Key symbol means the lock has been activated some how.
On most bosch of your class this is how you work it on & off.

problem with mitsubishi wd65737. thought the bulb was bad, bought a new bulb replaced it and now the screen doesnt want to come on. light on the front of the tv turns green, you have sound but no picture then the tv turns off the light on the front is now steady red. resetting the sytem worked yesterday but not today.
if you go to menue settings security then phone lock and lock now or auto lock you defalt security code is 1234 for the slvr if you bought your phone second hand id preform a master reset on the phone first and reset all settings back to factory if you want to try that to its menue settings initial set up master reset and def is 6 zeros 000000 hope that helps you
