Hi i have an acer laptop aspire one (the small one without windows i dont really know) and suddenly it doesnt connect to the interent wirelessly like my other laptops. the symbol for the internet connection is no longer there next to the time and battery status. also i cannot open the network connections at all no matter how many times i click. do u have any solutions please? thanks

You need to install a new driver for the webcam.
Just go to the laptop's manufacturer site or if you have the cd, and download the webcam driver, unzip it afterwards.

can you please check that the touchpad has not been locked i dont think it has but worth a try
by pressing FN+F7 or FN+F9
also check that the nulock has not been ingaged by mistake
also the scroll lock
or go to
start
all programs
acer
acer management
contents
scroll down to find the touchpad/pointing device
go over to the right by the green icon and hit the install tab
and let windows re install the touchpad
I mostly think that your screen is damaged, or maybe glass is shattered. Other less painfully thing is to check screen connection onto mainboard.
Search on internet how to upgrade acer aspire one netbook with HDD, and you will find detailed istructions about things you need in this situation and thats, opening acer aspire one. Its really tricky task to do, so i suggest you spent some quality time, an hour, hour and a half , in reassambleing all of that alone, and reconnecting main AAO netbook 8,9 inch monitor.

Adjust your browser security setting to allow webcams if you have flash micro media you will see the camra security but if you go to internet setting you can ajust the broswer setting from there .make sure that your firewall allow your webcam .then let me know how you did
Acer has a pretty good product for the price be careful getting the ones with the 8" inch screen because you cannot adjust the screen to view internet pages properly. Also make sure that you get one that has a DVD/CD drive. The little 300 dollar notebooks don't have a drive and essentially are really limited. Step up to the next level Acer with the DVD drive and the larger screen (one step up from the smallest notebook model) and you should be happy.Hope this helps

I,d suggest trying the camera on a different Laptop Or Computer.
Also, if you have the Original Drivers Or setup CD.
Uninstall And re-install the Camera, with the setup disk.
I really don,t like or advise the use of Vista. As it has so many bugs and glitches, still to be fixed.
The second option, is to use the system restore, and reset to a point before the problems began.
