My playstation 2 rock band guitar is not working with the new one

So my playstation 2 first rock band guitar will not work with the new rock band 2 i just purchased. is this because i need a new guitar or because i need the playstation 2 controller to choose the saving options before i play? because the guitar controller isn't working at all and won't let me select anything. please help.

You might be playing the rythm a tad off. Try to keep it at the same pace pretty quickly without stumbling.
The rythm should be pretty quick. Like eighth notes or sixteenth notes if you're musica

Guitar Hero Guitar not working with Rock Band Equipment PS3

I think that rock bad comes with a special guitar that is for rockband so you cant use the guitar hero guitar on rockband SAD but true. check out ebay for another rockband guitar I had to do the same.. unless we are in the same boat and I was wrong!

I dont believe the guitar from Guitar Hero 3 is compatable with Rock Band or Rock Band 2, there is a compatibility chart on Rockband.com that will let you know for sure.
