My new HP Photosmart C6300 printed the very first 4x6 photo fine. The second photo finished printing, but the skin tone turned purple halfway through the print. The ink display tool showed all 5 inks full. The print quality report indicates no yellow at all. Everything is brand new, so could this be a bad cartridge, clog, or the machine?
James.
This is definitely an ink issue. I had the exact same problem with the same machine and after going out and spending 100+ on new ink cartridges I am now back in print. It is recomended that you try the typical fixes via manufacturer and clean the print head on the cartridge with denatured alcohol and VERY soft pressure in a single direction not back and forth or side to side. go from top to bottom and start over. do this several times and try the cartridge again. use the utility in the machine to clean the head, several times in a row. and after several hours of this if it dont work change the print cartridge to a new one. The manufacturer says it is a common problem as the print "spray" is so fine it clogs when the ink sets on the head and dries.
Ps. dont forget to rate the solution please.
Take it back to where you bought it and get it replaced its a faulty printer.
It will be bad cartridge . Replace it from the retail shop from where you got .

I will get a new yellow ink cartridge as soon as possible. I'll let you know if that solved the problem.
