I have the 402 power astrolon telescope (item 36755), with the wooden tripod. I have the manual and the original CD (there's probably a more updated version--I've had this for approx. 10 yrs.). As for the manual, if you haven't found one, I'll make a copy and send it to you (it's only 6 small pages). Also, their customer service number is 800-637-3455. Hope this helps. [email protected]
Sorry -- This is a Discovery planet telescope. Only the retail store will have a manual.
Try to locate a Discovery store?? here is their web site: http://store.discovery.com/?ecid=PID-20001370&pa=SEM_DiscBranded_discovery%20store&s_kwcid=TC'15228'discovery%20store''S'e'7318424894
No -- that scope is sold by Toys R Us-- no manuals exist anywhere on the internet. You can buy eyepieces from various on-line retailers-- measure the hole in the focuser. Eyepieces come in 3 different sizes--- .965 inch, 1.25 inch, and 2 inch.
Your scope either takes-- .965 or 1.25 inch eye[pieces-- buy the correct size. Here are two retailers:

By the way-- we receive more complaints about that brand of telescope than just about any other brand. It is being sold by a toy store.
No one will have a manual for this telescope, However here is a picture: http://www.amazon.com/Elenco-Astrolon-525x-Refractor-Telescope/dp/B0019MYVMQ
This is a very simple refractor on an alt az mount. Sure wish you had NOT bought this "department store" telescope. It will be shaky and has a very small aperture. Read my TIPS on my profile page to find out how to improve a department store telescope.
You are about the 10th person to ask for this. These are being sold at Toys R Us and the "toy" really applies to this scope. If you can return it and buy this telescope for your child. http://www.telescope.com/control/product/~category_id=classicdobs/~pcategory=dobsonians/~product_id=09804
and no you cannot buy a usable scope for less than $200. No manual exists for your telescope, however Meade maintains a web site of manuals for all their telescopes. Look under the REFRACTOR heading on the below web site for one similar to your telescope. They all assemble about the same way, and Meade includes a section in the back of all manuals on how to use the telescope. http://www.meade.com/manuals/index.html
This one is similar to your telescope. http://www.meade.com/manuals/TelescopeManuals/Refractors/Meade70AZ_AR.pdf
If you purchase this yourself, you should look in the manual for operating instructions. You look at objects far away. Example: distant stars at night. If you work well with it you might be able to see far into the interstellar space, or seeing the space-shuttle after it's gone way up beyond the naked eye.
I purchased a previously loved Astrolon Telescope. Would someone be able to email me a copy of the instruction manual? Or, provide a link to find one? Thanks!
