The delay is very slight... like a millisecond, but noticable enough to drive me crazy!!! This is happening on both Bluray and standard DVDs. I have it hooked up to my HDTV with a HDMI cable
I would guess that this problem is being caused precisely because your audio delay is set to '0'. Your TV will need to process the picture which will introduce a slight delay causing the picture to lag behind the audio. The audio delay setting allows you to delay the audio coming out of the dvd player so that it will match the delay that your TV will add to the picture. Try experimenting with the audio delay setting to try and match the picture and audio up. you may need at least 80 to 100 ms. My Samsung B650 requires 100ms.
Hi,
Did you check the sound setup? I know it can be setup for such a delay.
If I remember correctly (I don't have my DVD in front while answering) you access this setup by clicking on the remote control on the button on the right of the "HOME" button (I think this is the "OPTION" button): ont the pop up menu, you then have to choose the top menu (this is something like "SETUP"), and then choose sound: you will see that you can scroll there to delay or not the sound. Maybe, in your case, it is not set on the '0'.
Since I am not sure I remember correctly how to access this menu, I suggest you eventually look for it on your user guid.
Hope this helps
The above fixes will not work. I have the same problem and the delay is not with the TV, it is with the Blu-Ray player. So adding more delay to the player signal through the menu pick only makes the problem worse!!! What you need is a menu pick that accelerates the audio--which is impossible. Check it out for yourself. It's not just this player, either. Several other brands have the same problem--we need to let the manufacturers know that this is not acceptable. Send the unit back. Talk to their tech department. That's the best that you can do.

I too have the same problem!.. The delay for the audio in the set-up menu is set to " 0 " .. But it is still there.... Any other sug's?..
I'm having the same crappy problem. But, it's only with Blu-ray discs. If I play a regular DVD, I don't have this audio delay. It plays perfectly. I've ran the firmware update via the internet and still teh same problem. Thinking about suing Sony. :-)
My audio sync is set to "0" so that is not what is causing it.
