Bought my stove new. I can't adjust the burners. It has one setting-full blast hot

Bought new.I have a very old liquid gas stove works that great. I wanted a new one. I should have tried it out, but had faith in Coleman name. I can't adjust temp on either burner. Tried different brands of propane. Burned just about everything except water on our trip. I think its the regulator??

SOURCE: Flames shooting up from back of Coleman stove.

Buy a new one. do not attempt to use this one again. There could be a pin hole in the propane lines or just a small crack. If you can hear it then there's a problem.

However if you really want to fix this one try putting water on the propane lines and then putting on a new tank and opening the valve. DO NOT LIGHT THE STOVE. where there are bubbles there is your leak. When you find it seal it with a Flame retardent sealent or clamp the line. Also I believe Lowe's sells parts that may work. just find out which line is leaking and replace the whole line.

I highly recommend just buying a new one and destroying the old one. DO NOT just throw it away please. Some one out there will grab it and try and use it. They will find out the hard way and maybe get hurt badly themselves or hurt someone else. Just imagine the guy who grabs it and goes camping with his family. Him and his son start it up. the son is right next to the unit. The guy fires it up and boom the son gets burned. Is it just me or would you feel bad if you knew this guy. I have seen it first hand. trust me it sucks. A buddy of mine did this and his son was in hospital for 3 days. he said he will never do that again.

So for safety sake please just buy the new one. don't take unnessecary risks if you don't have too.

SOURCE: how to operate a coleman two burner stove using

If you are talking about the old type that runs on Coleman fuel, start by putting some oil in the hole beside the pump knob to make sure that the gasket is lubricated. Fill with fuel and pump it up, keeping your thumb over the hole in the end of the pump knob. When you have pumped up enough pressure, turn on and light the main burner, then secondary burner if necessary.

There is water in your fuel. Drain the tank and flush it out with denatured alcohol. Refill with fresh fuel.

It might be from the burners being dirty or from the electrode not being properly sealed.Or the burner head and the caps are not correctly have been matched up.

My whirlpool SF265LXTS oven turns on properly, but the oven itself isn't getting hot. The gas stove top and broiler both work fine.

It sounds like you might have a clogged burner plate or manifold. You should call a certified gas repair service. This could be very dangerous, even deadly.

My old garland gas range, model J38H0, has 3 problems. one of the large burners only burns low, even when fully turned up, the oven won't light at all, and the other large burner ignites at the air intake...

Most likely the igniter is no good and does'nt get hot enough 2 start the oven. Check and make sure their is no blockage to the burners sometimes they get loaded with food and or dust

I recently bought a used Maytag gas range model #crg9700aaw. I am having an issue as the lower gas burner in the oven will not ignite. The broiler turns on and works fine, all the burners work fine as...

I had same problem, same model. Twice in 4 years. Was the lower ignitor gone bad. First time I assume to old age. 2nd time wife overloaded a roaster pan and it overflowed during cooking, and got liquid/**** on the ignitor somehow and killed it.
New one is $43 (http://www.repairclinic.com/Shop-For-Parts?s=t-crg9700-%3d%3d) online. More like $65-75 locally.
Tip: Upper (broiler) and lower ignitors are identical. For a quick test: Swap out the top one to bottom position and see if it works.
It has just today happened AGAIN to me 7 months later. Hence my being online for this.
It's an old horse, and 2 burners up top are acting funny for some time now. Rather than throw more good money into it I think I may trash it and just buy a new stove.
