yeas you should be able to as long as you know the passkey to connect to the router. windows should detect the wireless netowork automaticlty and you just select to connect

Turn on your wireless radio, by logging into the router and click on wireless tab and turn on the radio.

If you cant see any pages, how do you know you are connected ? Is it because of your IM working or are you pinging any website ? I would suggest you to disable any firewalls that you may have or try any alternate web browser.

You should be able to log into the router by opening an internet window and typing 192.168.1.1

Username: admin
Password: admin

(Unless it's been changed.) The WEP Key will be in there under a section for Security.

It does have a firewall but I have no idea how effective it is.

Are all the cables connected correctly?
Are the DSL settings in?

If it's only the power light, and no WLAN, LAN, DSL or Internet lights on, it sounds like it may be faulty. Is it brand new or second hand?

I have solved my problem, after researching various messageboards yesterday to try and discover why my Siemens Tiscali router didn't work. I'm going to send it back and go with another company!
It seems there has been a lot of debate on these messageboards about Tiscali and/or Siemens products and it now seems also that no one would recommend them. I hereby add my name to that list.
