This is for DVP31XXX series i hope it works all on DVP31 series. It has been tested on DVP3146K /51 and it has been worked...

1. Make sure there is no disc in the player.
2. Turn power off and on again.
3. Open the tray.
4. On the remote, hit 9879 and then 0. This changes unit to Region 0, meaning it'll play all regions.
5. Hit OK on the remote.

Good Luck Guys!

Press setup, go down to the lock symbol. do not enter it, just have it highlighted, then press "0" seven times. this will make it region free. also applies to most LG DVD players and DVD recorders. Hope it helped, murderface.

Many customers want to play DVDs from other countries, or that they bought overseas. Our DVD players will ONLY play dvds from Region 1. On the back of the DVD case, there is a small symbol, it is a picture of a globe with a number on it. That number MUST be 1, or 1-5. If it says anything else, that DVD cannot be played. It also states this in the manual. Customers may ask how to change the region code in our players. We cannot advise them how to do it, and as far as Samsung has informed us, you cannot change the region code. Other players may have this ability, or they may say they can find this out online, but we dont know how to change this, or if its even possible. Refer the customer to a dealer to inquire about multi region, or region-free DVD players, which Samsung does not make. Region codes prevent DVD players bought in one geographical region from playing DVDs bought in other geographical regions. There are 8 regions (also called "locales"). Manufacturers usually mark players and discs with the number of the region with which they are compatible, superimposed on a world globe. DVD players have only one number. Discs can have more than one or, in some cases, none. Discs with no region code numbers play on any player in any country. A DVD player's region code is incorporated into the firmware of the DVD player by the manufacturer. It cannot be changed by the customer. A list of region codes and regions is below. REGION CODE REGION 1 USA, Canada 2 Europe, Middle East, Japan, South Africa 3 South Korea, Taiwan, HK, ASEAN 4 Australia, NZ, Latin America 5 Ex-Soviets, Indian sub-continent, Africa 6 China So your next question will be, can I change the region code? DVD movies have region codes, and they typically only play on a player or DVD-ROM drive sold in the country where the DVD movie was sold. The DVD player or drive has a region code in its firmware. Personal computer DVD-ROM players often have the code in the software or MPEG-2 decoder. The two codes must match for the player or drive to play the movie. Region Codes cannot be changed by the end user. Doing so will result in firmware damage.

Try http://www.dvdexploder.com/how.htm

Costs $10 but well worth it.

Region codes can be changed on most DVD Players without any harm to the player. They can also be changed on PC players but if not small software programs can be found on Google that change the region for the dvd that is being played.

Incorrect disc region code

Look at the region code of the DVD that plays on the vehicle DVD if it is the same of the others that do play it's not a region code issue. If the others are a different region to the DVD that plays or the disc says it is region free. Then you might have a problem with the region code settings on the machine. You can look up the model number of that player to see if you can change the region code.
Otherwise check out the player to see if it needs cleaning or is faulty.

DVD's wont play - says wrong region but they are compatible

To change the Region code on your player, open Control Panel - System - Hardware - Device manager, and click on DVD/CD ROM drives, then right click on the DVD drive and click Properties then click on DVD Region.
You can enter a new region and it also shows you how many changes have been made.
NOTE you can make only 4 changes and the player will lock permanently on the 4th change.
If you want to play DVD from any region you maybe able to upgrade the firmware to make it region free BUT if you make a mistake or installed the wrong firmware the player will be a piece of junk.
The best solution to make the player region free is to install a piece of software that allows you to play DVDs from any region. There are several available on the Internet but my favourite is DVD-Region Free

Bought a dvd series of Ice Road Truckers series 2 off E-Bay. All my dvd players wont play. One says incorrect regional code. How can I get them to play.

you probably purchased a different region dvd. there is a code breaker for your dvd but it will stay on that code that you place in. ebay sells multiregional dvd players. and ebay also sells the codebreakers. look under multiregional dvd and search for the listing

Regional codes

The DVD region cannot be changed more than 5 times without 3rd party software which is very hard to find now as it has even been restricted in Europe.
You can look for "dvd region css free" online but you may not be able to get it anymore.

Good luck!

Every time i put the original dvd it wont play it always say incorrect region code but when i put a copy dvd it plays... i'm using UV7i jensen..

Bootlegs are not coded for Region(s).

Your device will only play DVD's for the Region it was built for.

Either copy the DVD and remove the Region code, or use DVD's for the specific Region the device was built for.

Best of Luck.
