When powering up, the 'Sanyo' logo flashes, but it appears as a mirror image. Then it goes dim for a few seconds, and then the bulb lights, but it just looks like plain light (no images, menu, etc) and the fan motor slows and speeds up... the power light is solid green (that's the only one that lights up) but it does one red flash every 30 seconds or so... Is the main board on this projector cooked, or is there a 'silver bullet' to fix this issue?

I replaced the bulb reset the timer and viewed it for a little while 30hr or so., shut it down and now it won't turn back on. I plug it in, the light go from green to red and the fan starts up.

Could be a burnt capacitor on the circuit board. Replace capacitor if you can determine which one it is. There are only a few.
