Can you confirm if you are able to put the BTH220 headphones in pairing mode. Please try the following steps and see if works:

  1. Make sure that the headphones are fully charged.
  2. Switch off the headphones.
  3. Put the headphones in pairing mode by pressing the MFB button (center) for 7-10 secs till you see the red and blue LED blinking alternatively. Please do not leave the button as soon as blue LED appears.
  4. Follow the operating instruction of your Bluetooth device to start the pairing process.

I was able to pair the device. it just won't stay connected. it starts to beep as though the battery is low and then disconnects. maybe there is something wrong with the charging cable?

Why does my kinivo bth220 headphones have a flashing red light on them no matter how long i charge them and they will not turn on

The batteries won't charge. You might want to google around for replacement batteries.

First I'd try a factory reset. PRess the +, - and multifunction button for 6 seconds until the blue light flashes and it shuts off. When you turn them on next, it's in pairing mode and try again.

Cordless phone wont recognize the base no matter what I do

Are you using 2.4 Giga Hertz and do you also use wireless Lan with your computers? they might be interferring with each other. Also phone base may have optional channel settings , If it is the same frequency as th ewireless lan it won't work.
