Faucet leak from the connection with spout.

I just install a brand new American Standard faucet. Two knots and center spouts that turn. No leak at the water lines, no leaks at the knots but water is shooting out of the connection between the spout and the plate. I try to turned the rings connect the spouts to the rest of the faucet as tight as reasonable but still same amounts of leak. I check and the connect have the require two O rings.

Return the new faucet for another one. The o-rings in the base of the spout are leaking. Either installed wrong at the factory or defective rings.

Don't fight with it, trade for a different one.

Kitchen spout leaks

Hi buffy9,

I'm Harvet the Master Plumber.

Your question is: You have an American Standard two faucet in my kitchen and the base of the spout leaks at the base. How do you remove it and replace the washers?

Are we talking about an American Standard two HANDLE faucet or one of the single handle models?

Thank you,
Harvey your Master Plumber
