Greetings,
I have a ws55819 that has the 2 2 error. I would like to replace the Pico fuses and the xonvergence IC's myself but I am having trouble locating them since I do not have a copy of the service manual for this TV.
I have electronics experience because I use to do board level repairs for arcade equipment. I would also like to know if anyone knows what the easiest way to remove the board tray would be.
Thanks
The pico fuses are 6.3 amp. any type pico fuse rated at 6.3 amp will do and the convergence ic's are labeled on the body of the ic. (STK 391-010 or similar). the board that the ic's are on can be removed without removing the entire tray. the connectors are marked and even different sizes to prevent miss-connection when installing board abain. be carefull removing the board as the screws holding it in also hold the heat-sink for the ic's as well as the shield for the generator module.
And do please unplug the set first!!
If you have an ic puller, these work just fine in removing the ribbon connectors. Note that the ribbon connectors only disconnect from one of the boards! the other side is hard wired so don't force it. The side which comes off is easily grasped on each end with thumb and forefinger although it may be a little hard to do by hand.

What is the easiest way to access the screws if I am not pulling ut the board tray? Do I need to take the panel off of the front of the TV? Also curious how many pico fuses and convergence IC's there are on the board and where they are physically located. I know that the IC's are mounted to the heatsink but I do not know where the pico fuses are.
Thanks
I am also curious what the easiest way would be to disconnect the ribbon cables that attach the center board to the other two baords.
If anyone has a service manual for this tv please send me a link
Greetings,
I am still in need of assistance with this cany anyone help me out? I really want to make this TV work again
Ok I got the service manual but I still can not see how to get the center board out without removing the whole tray.
My Mitsubishi rear projection TV model WS-55819 tv won't turn on. Push the turn on button and 1-2 seconds later you hear a click and the button light turns off.
May someone share a copy of his service manual for this model TV? Please e-mail it to me.
Thanks
the click you hear is the computer doing the over heat shut down there is a problem with the board . probably a lack of sauder on the board i fixed mine by adding more where mine looked thin
