Viper 4103 1-Way Remote Start makes clicking noise when trying to start.
I have a Viper 4103 1-way Remote Start System and when I tried to start my car today, the car would make a bunch of clicking noises and not start. I don't think it's the battery seeing as the car isn't very old. But whenever I try to click the automatic start my truck just makes a lot of clicking noises and doesn't start but kind of goes into a frenzy. The truck will try to start multiple times and the meters will shake a bit then eventually they stop. Any help?

It sounds like you wired up the door locks incorrectly. You need relays to control your doorlocks. Follow the diagram in this link to wire up the relays.
The Remote start is hooked up wrong. They have the power for the starter connected to the wrong wire. Its not reading that the car has started and when you put the key in it recognizes that its running. Take in it to who ever installed it and have them change those wires around.
If this is the factory alarm going off when you remote start the vehicle, the factory disarm wire is not connected. If you would list the year/make/model of the vehicle, I could direct you to the wire.
Avital and viper remotes even though they look the same, they operate at different freqs. Im a retired alarm installer i could never get them to interchange.
Check the alarm program it shoudl be programing to turns it On every 2 hours, or if you have a temperature sensor should be programed to turns it On when is too cold.
try a couple of things, 1) try unplugging the anntena for the alarm for about 5 minutes. 2) remove battery from remote for 5 minutes 3) reprogram the remote
no - unfortunately "any mechanic" does not have the training to troubleshoot an alarm system, and a dealership does not work on anything aftermarket.
Your best bet is to visit DEI (Directed Electronics Inc.) website and find an authorized dealer near you... most likely a car audio shop.
Best Buy usually hires newbies as installers and they dont have much experience... Look for an independant shop.

The brain module cannot be repaired - the ignition and starter relays are integrated on the controller board. Since it is 2 years old - there may not be a replacement part available.
Good Luck!!
