    My child got these for a birthday gift from an Aunt and I am pretty savvy when it comes to computers and electronics, but for the life of me, I cannot figure out how to work these damn things!! So my kid has been sitting with them for 6 months and is upset because she cant play with them. For the love of god, can someone help us!?!!!

    wow - and the Sakar website doesn't even have this product - I hope that they will get this resolved some day...I have the same problem, however, my kit didn't even come with any type of directions

I updated someone else's instructions to make them more clear...

Instructions to a Sakar sms text messenger - sending text messages.

Press the NUMBERS/LETTERS below the keypad icons.

Example: SEND a message from one Messenger to the other

  • For the messenger (USER 1) receive a message
    • Press SMS button,
    • then the RECV button and leave it like that - don't do anything
  • On the messenger (USER 2)sending the message
    • Press SMS
    • Type with the numbers/letters (NOT THE PICTURE)
    • Click SEND (it will display P/i ?)
    • click the (I C Q chat) button with the smiley face
  • The message will appear on messenger (USER 1) display

Try removing the batteries for a few minutes, it may reset it back to how it came when you bought it.

During a Life Flight rescue, the directions to Purple Sakar IText
You can try going online and contacting the manufactuers website. They probably have instruction manual posted there. to find the manufactuer do a google search of the full product name and weed thru them.

ITEXTING SMS TEXT MESSENGER
hi. im alyssa, im 11. my friend rachel bought me it. it was confusing at first. to send a messege, press SMS or the w/e u have for the chat. u press the MIDDLE of the letters on the black, keep pressing it until u get the letter u wannt. then u press send and it'll say : P/I? then press ICQ.

Theres not really a prob,but...
My best suggestion is to look up online the ratings for each one see what people have said and each box should tell you how far they can be from eachother. Remember price doesn't always mean it's better.

Cant go send sms through contact application
You have to restore your iphone to factory settings. then you must re jailbreak your iphone to get cydia and the installer app on there. After install the SMS program and make sure you dont delete the original SMS program that came with the iPhone. I suggest you download poof! and just hide the SMS app that came with the Iphone.
