Kodak Easyshare Z760 orange light flashing

The light to the left of the eyehole on my camera continuously blinks orange. Also, the flash will not go off. Per the manual, that light blinks orange when the "flash is not fully charged". I have made sure the battery is fully charged and even tried a different battery to make sure mine wasn't faulty. The battery is OK. If the problem is that the flash needs charged....how do I do that? Thank you so much! Billi LOU

The flash does not charge separate from the rest of the camera. Try cleaning the flash sensor on the front of the camera or the flash led may be bad.

Secondly, this light functions as a flash sensor which is trying to tell you that you need to use a flash although you may have the flash manually turned off. looks like a bolt of lightning with a circle/slash through it.

How do you find the white balance on this camera?

This camera does not have a customizable white balance. It does have some presets -- they are:

Auto (default)-automatically corrects white

balance. Ideal for general picture taking.

Daylight-for pictures in natural lighting.

Tungsten-corrects the orange cast of household

light bulbs. Ideal for indoor pictures under tungsten or
halogen lighting without flash.

Fluorescent-corrects the green cast of fluorescent

lighting. Ideal for indoor pictures under fluorescent
lighting without flash.

To access them, press the [Menu] button and look for White Balance -- the icon is a Sun and Light Bulb symbol.

Flash not working kodak z760

The high voltage for the flash is on the power board. The capacitor charges for the flash. This isn't really fixable and could be dangerous to try fixing it as the voltage is in the 20,000 volt range.
Suggest selling it on Ebay for parts. Most for parts sell for $25

When I put the camera on the charging station the light bar goes green and then switches to a flashing red light. What's going on?

My flash won't work

Hi, go to the menu on the camera and insure the flash selection is not disabled.
The strength of the batteries can also affect the flash.
Some cameras have a selector switch on the outside.

My kodak eastyshare z760 flashes red when on the battery charger but yet, the battery never shows fully charged.

I had the same problem. I needed to take the clear plastic insert off but then I had to put a rubber band around the dock and camera (more on the left of the camera and dock) to hold it evenly on there since the camera was leaning on the right and wasn't charging for me. Now it charges as soon as I put it on there with the rubber band with no blinking red light anymore! Hope this helps!

Battery will not continue charge after a few seconds

Run the battery all the way down until completely dead and then try recharging. Nickel metal hydride (NiMH) batteries don't develop a "memory" quite like the old nickel cadmium (Ni Cad) batteries, but this seems to work when my cell phone won't hold a charge for more than a day.
