F the tray won't open or close properly, check the belt for dirt or wear. Then check the tray for misalignment. If needed, remove, clean, lubricate, and reinstall the tray following the instructions in the owner's manual

God bless you

How to get a dvd tray unstuck

There are two ways to open the CD/DVD drive door if the button just below the drive tray does not work.
Go to My Computer and right click on the drive and click on Eject.
If this does not work then you can manually open the CD/DVD drive tray by -
Straighten a paper clip and gently insert it into a tiny hole below the drive tray next to the Eject button. Push the paper clip gently until the drive tray pops out, then pull the tray until it is fully out, then you can remove the CD/DVD disc.
If you still having problem opening with the Eject button, then the CD/DVD drive is faulty and needs replacing.

JVC Model DR-MV99 tray door keeps opening and closing when trying to insert a DVD disk

This problem was driving me crazy, until I found a solution.
This is what you need to do.
When the tray is open grab the flap door that goes up when the dvd goes in. Hold it down as you the DVD tray goes in. (Its spring loaded) This allows you to have direct access to the front of the tray even when the DVD goes all the way in. Hold the tray in with your finger by pushing in firmly on the far right corner of the DVD tray. The DVD tray will try and come out, continue to hold it in while pressing the eject button on the remote. If you are firmly pressing in on the right corner of the tray it should only take a few times of pressing eject when you see the Disk symbol on the screen and you will here the DVD start loading. When you know that it is starting to load release the front door flap. You can then use the DVD player as normal.
Unfortuntely you will need to do this each time a DVD is loaded.

My DVD tray on my Yamaha DV C6480 (it holds 5 DVDs) got stuck in the half open half closed position. It may have come off the track. I opened the case and reinstalled the DVD Tray. Now the tray...

This happens to us all the time. Here is the note I keep on how to fix it quickly:
When tray gets messed up, the drive wheel (with pegs that interlock with pegs on the tray) needs to be such that the tray slides in and out freely. Push tray all the way in. Turn on.

Hope that gives a hint.

When I press the Eject Button on the Bose 321 DVD Player the tray does not open up. I can hear the sound as if trying to open

normal issues with cd/dvd trays - gear/rubber of the tray transport worn out.

manytimes it helps if you always keep a cd/dvd in the tray (don't keep the tray empty)

it may also help if you can keep the bose 321 vertical.

DVD tray won't open

Look for a small pin hole in the front of the DVD player. Insert a pin into the hole to open the tray.
Also try right clicking the DVD icon, click 'eject', then insert the pin into the hole.
If the door only opens partially, grab it and pull it open. Then insert a blank DVD into the tray, then see if the tray will open automatically with the disk in the tray. If so, then keep a DVD in the tray at all times.
