See this causes and fix it. God bless you
If the microwave doesn't heat the thermal fuse may have blown. It can be tested for continuity. Watch our fuse testing video for more information.
If the microwave does not heat, the high voltage transformer might be burned out. Microwave ovens produce a very high voltage in order to power the magnetron antenna, which emits the energy that cooks the food.
If the microwave doesn't heat the high voltage capacitor might be defective. The high voltage capacitor works with the high voltage diode to convert the output of the transformer to DC voltage and to double the output voltage. If the capacitor is burned out the entire high voltage circuit stops working properly. The high voltage capacitor can be checked with a special VOM meter which has a capacitance testing capability. Be aware that the high voltage capacitor can retain a charge of more than 3,000 volts and can injure or kill a person if not handled properly. Only trained technicians should perform this type of testing.
If the microwave oven doesn't heat the magnetron tube might have burned out. The magnetron uses high voltage, high current DC power to generate the microwave frequency that cooks the food. If the microwave oven is turned on when it is empty this can cause the magnetron to burn out. Once it is burned out it has to be replaced, it's not repairable.
If the microwave does not heat, one of the door switches might be defective. Microwave ovens normally have three door switches, if any of them fail the microwave does not turn on and does not heat. Check the switches for continuity with an Ohm meter.
The high voltage diode converts the A/C power output of the transformer to D/C, doubling the voltage to nearly 5,000 volts. This high voltage powers the magnetron which emits the energy that cooks the food. If the diode burns out, a lower A/C voltage reaches the magnetron, which is not sufficient to power the magnetron. When the diode fails it is often visibly burned out. If it appears to be good, it can be tested with a volt-Ohm meter capable of testing diodes. High voltage diodes frequently fail and are one of the most common points of failure in a microwave oven.

Kitchen aid microwave will not heat

first check the fuse if cutoff, replace it. if ok, then check for any broken wire. if all connections are intact, then test the heating element for continuity, if no continuity, then the element is bad and needs replacement. try these steps

Im having a heating problem with my maytag microwave, and want to check the fuse, but how do i get to it.

not all microwave not heating is in the fuse, and remember the microwave is high voltage dont try to touch by your hand, use plier with insulation before removing the part.the fuse inside the microwave is 2 type, 1 power fuse if we have power no need to replace, the other one is HV FUSE that one is connecting in capasitor and magnetron, this like is small plastic tube with wire if you remove you can open it,check the small wire inside the glass if is broken or split its means this one is defective need to replace but if this one is ok but not heating the second problem (common) is magnetron, but much better call an service technician to check the unit if not the parts i said is defective to make sure and you get a warranty after service.

Dishwasher is running through cycles ok but water is not heating so only cold cycles.

Hi

The water is not heating as the heating element has gone bad or a fuse has blown which is preventing heating element to turn on. To check the heating element you'll need to turn off the dishwasher, unplug it. After unplugging it check the heating element formineral deposit on it, clean the deposits using a soft brush and a cleaning solution(Don't scrub the elemnt hard). If this doesn't resolves the issue then remove the panel and examine all the wirin connections to the heating element. Now, use a multimeter and check for the resistance reading(ohms, Rx1) for the heating element. The multimeter should display between 1200-1600 ohms or 1.2K ohms. If it is less than 1200 then you'll need to get the heating element replaced. Also, check for any blown fuse around the element. This should resolve your issue.

Thanks

Daniel

Microwave blows fuse in microwave mode grill function ok

It is most likely the capacitor has shorted or the rectifier has shorted. Check with ohmeter, but make sure it is discharged first by shorting the capacitor with a wire.

Microwave isn't heating???

This will happen if the cut-off fuse is blown or, the Magnetron is damaged. you can check the fuse by removing the outside protective cover. After the removal of the cover, you will need to located the noise filter. there is a fuse on this board. check it for continuity with a ohm meter. if the fuse is ok, replace the Magnetron.

There is also a diode in the same area. you can test this component as well. If the fuse and diode are faulty or damaged, replace them.

Doesn't heat

If the microwave is working ok, it should heat up. First check the fuse inside if it ok then it looks like your microwave generator has gone bad. You will have to take it to the vendor and have it fixed with warranty.
