Headset help How to use HP head with laptop

how to plug it in? (add?) how to make it work,? and use it?
what head set.? the Phillips model.
USB, or the 2 mini plug type, (2 plugs , 1=head phones, 1= mike)
What is the Phillips part number there.

head sets come in 3 class types.
1: wired. 2,miniplugs
2: USB ( has built in sound chips)
3: bluetooth or with USB to add blue tooth.

what PC? windows 10 sure, but what PC?

could be, make sure the sound on the laptop is working watch a video and play music anything to noise on the laptop.also click the speaker icon by the clock check volume settings no muted. make sure headset in earphone jack and no volume control on headset

Hi:
Check to see if you get sound out of the head phone jack. If so, there is a system board problem, If you don't have sound out of the headset jack,check and see if your drivers are still loaded. This series of laptops have known issues with system board problems.

Do you have a headset mic combo? If so, make sure they are plugged in to right ports and the volume for mic and headphones is turned on. This can be done by right clicking speaker icon in taskbar and selecting the 2 different functions.

Solution:

i) try somother headset(if you have spare ones...with u), if prob still exists there must problem with sound port(inbuilt sound on your laptop) which is not allowing the wire or chord of your headset to completely plugin to your laptop sound port.....

it is like this  connecting wire is  paritally inside your laptop sound port and partially outside and leading to sounds from both laptop speaker(builtin) and the headset you are connecting.....

make sure that the stereo jack is plugged in properly, as with most head sets the wire snaps inside the flex, just like walkman headphones do!!!
You may have to replace the headset if the audio works fine when the headset is not plugged in

I think you need to "unpair" the headset from the phone. Try turning off the bluetooth head set, and then deleting the headset from the list bluetooth devices on your cellphone. Then turn the head set back on, and once it discovers that it cannot connect to the cellphone, it will become "discoverable" again.
