Check the audio cable it might not been connected securely.

Could also be missing.

Even with the HDMI you may still needs it ( DVI is for video only).

DVI means Digital Video Interface.

SOURCE: TV is connected to a DVR with HDMI/DVI cable and

Try another HDMI scource to see what happens there. If the second HDMI works with no issues then it is just a compatability issue with the DVR to your TV. At that point you will have to use the component inputs which will offer high definition as well.

Use the laptop's VGA output to plug into your TV's DVI.

NO SOUND ON HDMI_1, VIDEO OK. HDMI_2-3 AND RCA ALL .

HDMI-1, according to the manaul, supports a DVI input only. DVI does not carry an audio signal. You need to use the DVI audio in if you are using HDMI-1

How should I connect a Sony Wega KF-50WE620 to an XBox360 ?

Since the TV accepts HD signals only via DVI and component inputs, the only logical way is to use the "Xbox 360 Component HD AV Cable" as show in the link below:

How to hook up your Xbox 360 or Xbox 360 to TV

The TV will not accept a VGA input. A cable converting HDMI to DVI would also require that you break out the L + R audio channels, too. The one I mentioned above does this all for you with no degradation in video signals.

I did a reset on my Sony WEGA TV but now it's not connect with the cable box. Just says no signal. Screen is all snow and no sound other than static.

you need to reprogram channels. Itll only pick up 3 if you are still using coaxial cable from box, or change input to DVI/HDMI, aux, etc.

DVI port on Sony Trinitron KV-32HS500 not standard. What fits it?

I've just recently connected my old 32" Sony KV-32HS510 to my HP G60 Laptop via an HDMI (laptop) to DVI HDTV port(TV) with a cable.

I'm running Windows Vista on my laptop with the nVidia software. Once I've plugged in the TV to the HDMI port, the software initializes (recognizes the TV) and then I can select it as my second 'monitor' in the nVidia control panel.

I found I had to tinker with the resolution settings in the nVidia program to find an optimal resolution where the sides of the screen weren't 'cut off' by the TV.. I finally ended up with the resolution 1152x768 (I believe). It might be different for everybody, as I'm told Vista might do things differently than XP... But you should be able to tinker with the resolution settings and adjust the screen size...

(hope this helps with the second post - above)

Sony KF50we60 hdmi-dvi sound cuts when plugging into a ht-sf2300

DVI = HDMI without the audio connectors. So basically you need to connect your audio in some different way, PS3s allow you to keep your video signal as HDMI and change the Audio signal to component, so that is one way or doing it, not sure if the blue ray players allow you to do this though.

Sony trinitron KV-30HS420 HDMI

Yes. As long as your PC has an HDMI port as well (or at least a DVI port and a DVI-to-HMDI converter dongle).
