Microsoft wireless comfort keyboard model 1027 does not work, but the mouse does work. Nothing happens: batteries are new and in properly and contacts are clean

Try resetting the board unplug the usb plug to the wireless device then turn the keyboard over and press the small button on the back of the key board with a paper clip or ink pen, then the light on the device will light up next do the same thing to the mouse some have numbers of the wireless device like 123 others have letters on them like mine A 1 F let me know if you need help.

We have a 1027 wireless microsoft keyboard and a mouse

Go into your Control Panel, and select the icons (seperatly ofcourse) for your mouse and keyboard and make sure they are in the list for each and are activated. Also, uninstall the drivers for them, and re-install them with the disc provided that came with them. I hope this works for you. Also, after uninstalling the drivers and software, restart the computer, then insert the disc and run setup.

I own this keyboard and love it but need several replacement keys

If you call Microsoft Supplemental Parts (800-360-7561 toll free USA & Canada) they will give you a fax (716-447-7330). All you have to do is fax them the following:

1) To: Microsoft Supplemental Parts (<- rep said this was important)
2) your first & last name
3) address
4) telephone number
5) email address
6) photocopy of the bottom of your product, with a setting clear and light enough to show the Product ID information on the mouse
