The washer starts its wash cycle well enough but the stops takes on more water and then stops again. It does this a few times and then the code rings in with 8 beeps, a 2 second pause and the 1 beep and then it repeats.
SOURCE: I have a whirlpool duet
Whirlpool Duet front loading washer- my washer gets mostly thru the cycle, then just stops, and does 3long beeps, repeatedly, until i go over there and hit the power button(but still, all display lights stay on).. the one i have does not have a display,so theres no error code.. but its got water in it when it stops, and ive had to open the washer w/towels at the ready,to get some of the clothes out,to see if thats the problem...but even with nothing in there, the remaining water will not drain out...
SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet stopped during wash cycle.
UNPLUG THE WASHER AND TAKE THE 3 SCREWS THAT ARE ON THE BACK OF THE WASHER OUT AND REMOVE THE TOP PANEL OF THE WASHER. CAREFULLY UNPLUG AND REPLUG IN THE WIRING SO THAT U WONT GET THEM MIXED UP. DO ALL OF THEM, FIRMLY BUT GENTLY. THEN HOLD IN THE SIGNAL CYLCE LITE FOR 3 SECONDS. TRY TO RUN A LOAD AND SEE IF THAT WORKS. IT DID FOR US, SO FAR SO GOOD. GOOD LUCK!!
SOURCE: Whirlpool Duet Washer-error code "sud"
The SUD message relates to overdose of detergent detected during the Wash Cycle. This may signify a bad pump, an extra heavy load, excessive detergent or excessive suds. If too much detergent was used, run the washer through a Rinse/Spin cycle, then a Normal cycle, without adding any detergent. This should clear the unit of the excess detergent. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked. Good luck
SOURCE: Error Codes"5ud" and "02" and "F"
The two error codes together indicate you have something restricting the drainage system. "F02"is a Long Drain error code, "SUDS" occurs when too much air is sensed in the drainage system. In most cases, the drain pump reservoir needs to be cleaned out. The following link explains how:

If you check the drain pump reservoir and the problem still persists, you may have a pump with a damaged motor/impeller, or something lodged in one of the drain lines. In particular, the drain line that runs from the bottom of the wash tub to the inlet side of the pump.
I recommend you remove the inlet hose, first and inspect for clogs. In is common for small garments to become lodged in this area and restrict water flow to the drain pump. Check the output drain line for obstructions as well.
It does not take much to damage this small drain pumps. The error code is generated if the drain cycle exceeds 8 minutes. So...if the impeller or motor become damaged, and the pump does not pull water at the correct volume, you may still experience the drain error. In this case, you will have to replace the pump in order to get the error to clear. The following link explains how:
