Check the remote control for its infrared emission. Check it with brand new batteries. If found faulty, clean the remote control's internal circuit board. Just click this link to know more about cleaning procedure. Pull up older posts there.

Where can I purchase 2-3 Phillips 'Pronto' SBC RU950/00 controls [email protected] Australia

If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its user manual. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. If you see the site by "MOSAIC" view, will make surf easier.

Touch screen unresponsive. Stuck in calibration screen. I have upgraded firmware and still nothing

Hi, well, in my shop, whenever we get these types of remotes and they are stuck in calibrate mode, then either the remote itself has faulted or the memory has? Until one actually tests and inspect the instrument it's pretty hard to exactly tell. Often moisture gains ingress and this will cause problems, that and the fact that remotes always suffer from "Hard use" no matter how careful one is in handling it.
The fact that you were able to upgrade is rather unusual though, and indicates at least that the unit isn't a total "Write off", however it will still need to be serviced by a professional. The very best and cheapest way to implement a solution,is to get this unit attended to by a Philips repair professional, now contact a local or head office of Philips, now ask them for a referral to an authorised servicing center. Now when in tough here,FIRST only ask for a"Quote" as to costings etc. Now when in position of this information, then one can, make up ones mind as to what to do repair or replace?

Frozen Pronto

Hi

Thankyou for the offer, but I finally fixed it.

I searched high and low on the Internet and finally found a document that led me to believe it was WIFI problem. I reset (switched off and on) the WIFI receiver, and removed/replaced the battery in the remote control and hey presto. it worked and is still working.
